Wrong Turn

 

That moment when you make a wrong turn, and the car starts to shudder and slowly comes to a halt.  When the scenery and the town around you raises the hairs on the back of your arms and neck and the only thing you want to do is scream....  That moment when your wrong turn suddenly becomes a scene from your most hated horror movie.  All you want to do is pick up the phone and call someone to come to your rescue; but the bars aren't registering and the only phone around is the red dilapidated phone booth in front of what looks like a rundown, abandoned motel with a playground rusty and overgrown.  And when you realize you have let your imagination run wild and start to calm your nerves, the yellow crime tape shimmering in the dusky gloom of the oncoming storm at sunset catches your eye, along with the dark red stained pavement and fading outline of a body.  Scrambling to the phone booth you pray someone answers to save your from your worst nightmare, all caused by a wrong turn!

But, if you are going to get lost, or possibly become an unwilling character in a real life horror film, make sure you are dressed to kill, so to speak!  Sneak Peek from Penumbra events is JUST the place for you to pick up some of the hottest designs on the grid from the most fashion forward creators whose eyes are always on the runways!  Sneak Peek opened January 25th and will close February 5th, which means you don't have much time, so HURRY!  Today I bring you this absolutely STUNNING ensemble from M&M called "Vee."  It is a high waisted dress with a wonderful quilted leather skirt and form fitting top.  The mesh fits amazingly well and I adore the little extra details on the skirt.  I paired them with Poute's newest release, also at Sneak Peek.  The Honey wedges comes in a variety of colors and are a nice elegant twist on the normally chunky wedge heel.

Not sure if there are any left, but I picked up this gorgeous purse from BSD Design Studio at the Couturier's Docks earlier this month and if it's not there, then go check the store because this a MUST HAVE addition for any fashion guru, or purse lover.  The leather is perfectly textured and those Antelope skulls with horns are fantastic!  If you haven't checked out the Docks, then make sure to head over SOON or at the start of next month to see what amazing, new Haute Couture offerings they have for you! 

And in case you haven't been paying attention, Catwa Clip has just redesigned the entire store and to celebrate the opening the "Rachel" hair has been released!  The long, wavy, slightly pulled back hair is a very natural look and comes several color packs ensuring the perfect match for your closet and your mood!  The hair is just short enough in the front to not interfere with those of us a little more well endowed than others and comes in different sizes to fit your head shape.  Do yourself and go check out the beautiful new store and all of the wonderful hairs from CATWA!

The LUSH Life

One of my favorite things about getting involved with a new event is the chance to work with designers I haven't had the pleasure of working with before.  Sneak Peek is one of these events and I am blown away by the stunning designs being sent my way.  One in particular caught my attention yesterday and I just had to share with you the ND Wingback Jumpsuit Collection from Lush by CoCo.  

The Lush Life

The construction of this jumpsuit is absolutely perfect!  The textures are fantastic and the added detail of this gorgeous wing collar give you an open back, and sexy side boob making any of the jumpsuits a splendid addition to your wardrobe.  And you won't have to travel far to complete this look, as these adorable shoes are from Poute, also available at Sneak Peek.  The "Under Heat and Key" heels are available in several colors and they come with choices of gold or silver metal as well.  I love the detail of the heart lock on the bow over the peep toe!

~Crow~ has two new releases in store right now for the holidays!  A new metallic set and a retro one, so hurry on over and check out all the new goodies Mattie Rae has put out for everyone, and join the group to stay tuned for upcoming specials, new releases, events and SURPRISES!!!!  I had been struggling lately with wanting new eyes, and no matter whose I bought, I was never quite as happy as I was when exclusively using IKON.  I have now remedied this situation, and went and bought a TON of new eyes last night and I am once again a very happy camper!!!  So if for some reason, you haven't been over to the store yet, head on over!  The eyes are just wonderful!  Needless to say today, I have fallen for Lush by CoCo and I hope you do too!

A Modern Classic with Poudre, /heathenesuqe/ and CSR!

Last night, I got to live out one of my fantasies by seemingly to step back in time and I found myself in Marilyn Monroe's closet!!  Wandering around Hello Tuesday at CSR, I discovered this gorgeous dress for only 50 L!  I immediately gathered up all my boxes and bags and ran straight home to put together this post featuring some of my favorite people and places! 

Poudre by Ambra Hoxley has a new skin release for you to go check out!  The Kerli skin comes in 6 different shades in cleavage and non-cleavage versions; Ivory, Pale, Medium, Tan, Sunkissed and Dark; and each one has 6 unique makeup styles!  I am wearing one of three brow options that are also included with each skin purchase.  The details on these skins are very well done and the makeup goes from Nude to quite dramatic, enabling you to keep the same skin, yet manage to have completely different looks.  The H Stroke Sheath from Poute at CSR's Hello Tuesday, is absolutely stunning.  The textures and highlights are very well done and it fit perfectly on my new shape from Poudre.  The vintage style of this dress keeps it in the front of my closet from now on, along with the Edge Heels from /heathenesque/! 

If you haven't been paying attention, that mad heathen Jamie Cross has expanded into Slink shoes recently and the results are outstanding!  The Edge heels come in a variety of colors and can be picked up at the flagship store!  The shoes are elegant and stylish, with a very classic feel to them, making them the perfect footwear to accompany this dress.  And of course, what retro look is complete without pearls?!  Lazuri's Classic Pearl set has become a standby for me since the metals and pearls can be changed, making the set incredibly versatile.  I quite enjoyed my adventure last night through New Orleans, with a stop for some relaxation at a little bistro.  Do yourself a favor, and indulge in a modern take on a classic look!
