"Eyes on fire, Your spine is ablaze, Felling any foe with my gaze." Featuring the new Powder Pack release and Persefona

I started blogging to fill the gap created when I became disabled and no longer could work a traditional job, and because it gave me the chance to dip my feet back into the fashion and interior design worlds I had been separated from for years. At one point I was trying to blog for too many creators and it became a bit overwhelming, to be honest, and no longer served it's purpose of relieving stress and helping me to feel like I still could contribute to society. When my health took a turn for the worse I made the hard decision to step away from some of my blogging responsibilities and with that has come a sense of freedom. I have more time to concentrate on each and every photo and post, giving me the ability to better promote those who have chosen me to represent them with my blog. And with this freedom I have finally been able to work on my photo and editing skills, and with this has come recognition from artists I have followed and admired. Though I was never really looking for it, because as I said, I blog for my sponsors and I, and as long as they love what I do, I am content. But to see my photos soaring over a thousand views and hundreds of likes makes my heart burst with joy, because it means other people appreciate the artwork I create, and often times follow my blog, allowing them to also follow my real life, not just the fashion and decor of Second Life. The passion I originally started with has returned in abundance and I continue to watch and read tutorials about photography and photoshop, furthering my knowledge and allowing my art to grow.

One of the hardest things for me over the years in regards to photography on Second Life was the close up photo. Before I had my good computer everything got choppy up close, and since I couldn't render materials, I could never show off jewelry or makeup very well and it broke my heart. Once I did an upgrade on the computer I suddenly could do things I had never dreamed of with my photos and the settings on Second Life, but still the great close up alluded me. Everything always looked disproportionate and out of focus and I continued to struggle. After reading a few photo tutorials and learning a bit more about Firestorm I suddenly had perfectly proportioned, clear close ups and could show off jewelry and makeup like I had always wanted to, and this photo is a perfect example!

August 1st marked the release of the Powder Pack for LeLutka August edition and I had been dying to dive into the boxes, but my schedule hadn't permitted that until yesterday. This is probably my favorite pack since I started getting them, so I know they are expensive but do yourself a favor and go grab one, or make sure to reserve the next one, because you won't ever be disappointed. Today I am showing off gorgeous new eyes from Avi Glam, fresh new skin from Essences, and makeup from Zibska, Arise, and OHeMO. One of the things I love the most about the last full month of Summer, is the trend towards a redheads colour palette! It's the time of year when the palettes meet and meld together in some of the most spectacular of ways and I absolutely fell in love with this combination! As always Zibska has released perfect eye shadows that remind me of the sunsets in Arizona. The colours are blended well and I love the sparkles and shine, especially combined with this subtle brown lipstick from Arise. As most of you know, I have been an IKON eye addict, and I truly have never worn anything else because I love the shine and wide variety of colours. Avi Glam has blown me away with the Lure eyes, a new release for the August LeLutka Power Pack, with their gorgeous shine, fabulous colour choices and fantastic HUD to change the colours, size, and depth, making them incredibly versatile and you can bet I will be heading over to check out more eye releases!

One of the thing photographers often have happen in real life, are bokeh lights. They occur a lot around water and where there are lights and reflections and can add depth and shine to your Second Life photos, but they have to be added after through an editing program. Persefona has released a Bokeh Photography gacha set for the latest round of Cosmopolitan and I loved playing with them via the hud, changing their glow and size allowing me to create the lighting for this photo without having to add them via after effects. All photographers need to add this to their box of prop goodies, you won't be disappointed, and you can bet I will be avidly watching Persefona from now on! I'm gonna show you crazy! - Featuring Tameless, Glam Affair, IT!

Thankfully SL decided to let me log on long enough to get you all the information for my post today, which means I got all excited and immediately switched windows excited to blog and suddenly found myself faced with another round of writer's block. It is starting to get a bit frustrating, especially when I don't get to blog that much anymore! So while I was waiting I happened to stumble into a discussion with my best friend about the word "crazy", and how it can often spur people to act a bit nuts just to spite those who think they have gone off their rocker! With the very edgy feel of this new hair from Tameless, last months release from Glam Affair for PowderPack, and of course the new necklace from IT!, the discussion fit, and the perfect tune started to play through my head, which means I just had to put it on repeat for a few and then share with you!

Hearts on fire

It happens to be one of those days where I can't seem to find my words since my mind is in such a jumble. For the last couple of months the schools in Flagstaff, one in particular, have been the target of what I would call school terrorism. Notes have been found talking of school shootings etc, with dates and targets, and it has everyone on edge. For the second day in a row, my son's girl friends school has gone into shutdown under threats and more notes found and I find my brain isn't on work as much as it is on the safety of not only my own children but all of those effected by these circumstances. We all have drawn a bit closer in the last few days and I am in contact more frequently with my man, basically pulling my family close to me like the mother hen I am. So excuse me for not having much to say the past few days, my mind is occupied with all kinds of things right now, which means anything I write turns into a jumbled mess. "Lunge and thrust to pout and pucker into the face of the beguiled"

Of course I am an 80's baby, being 43 they were the height of my teens and I wasn't your typical cheerleader as I have discussed before. I listened to what most called punk or alternative and though it didn't majorly influence my style, torn fishnets, short skirts, combat boots, chains and lots of black found their way into my daily wardrobe. I do believe you can browse through old photo albums and find me all dressed up for a dance still with my leather and metal bracelets on. I had to keep my edge people! Looking for Warhol

Spring Chic

Sneak Peek opened for it's newest round on the 25th and if you haven't swung by you are truly missing out on the most fashion forward designs from some of the grids hottest creators. Zanze has released the "Augustine" collection exclusively at the event which includes the dress and coat in a variety of colors to mix and match.

As usual the attention to detail is stunning as are the coordinating color combinations. I love the ease of access with Zanze's delivery syste. The HUD is where you grab your size, and then select your colors. It is brilliant and honestly takes up a lot less space in the inventory, which is always a plus! I love the cut of this dress and the perfectly over sized coat allowing you to still see the alluring dip of the waist and silhouette of the body. Neither the jacket or the dress had an issue when posing or walking, making this an excellent ensemble for those of us always on the move on the grid.

I spotted this hair in an ad on Facebook the other day from Tameless and have been dying to have an ensemble to show you all that would make me HAVE to go grab it from the store. Last days of the Snowbunny

I know that some of the country is still digging out from under inches and sometimes feet of snow, and the slopes are covered with snowbunnies from all over the world. But soon, those hills will be covered in lush green grass and the chill of this Winter will be a distant memory. So before the last ski is put up for the year let me bring to you an adorable outfit from Tameless!

The "Hoodlem" outfit is a complete ensemble of top, jeans, boots and a hood for the top, but I chose to use this fantastic hair from Catwa today because it compliments the outfit perfectly! I loved that the cuffs on this sweater were not hard to fit or adjust and I have to say, the hard nip peeking through is a great detail on this outfit! The BOSL Hunt started yesterday at participating sims and Glint has put out this gorgeous heart necklace for the hunt, available for both men and women! Broke down palace

I remember Momma used to tell me I lived in fairytales and that the only thing he would ever bring me is a broke down palace..... I guess, in the end, she was right.

The With Love Fair opened on the 6th and if you haven't been by you really should head on over especially with Valentine's Day only a couple days away now. Tameless has released the "Open Heart" outfit as an exclusive for the event in red and black. The ensemble consists of the top, jeans, bracelets and shoes. Looking for My Caesar

I hope you are all having a good day, I know mine has been relaxing so far and I hope it stays that way. In case you haven't been paying attention, Tameless, is making a lot more than just hairs lately. From full avatars, to hair to wonderful outfits and accessories, Tameless has become a one-stop shop of sorts. When I unpacked my most recent boxes I was blown away by the quality and styling of the "Goddess" dress, so I just had to share it with you all today!

The Goddess dress is a wonderful mesh that flows nicely around the avatar and doesn't break or stretch when you are walking or posing. A lot of dresses in this style do a much smaller sash around the middle and often times I think the detail is lost, which is not the case with Tameless. The banding along the bust-line and just under adds a sophisticated touch to this dress. I love the cuff as well, as it matches the gold banding on the dress perfectly and is just another wonderful detail that is so often overlooked. The final piece of this ensemble are the AMAZING sandals, also from Tameless!

Just Purr

Just Hit Pause

Happy Monday everyone and if you are like me, the last couple of months have been beyond hectic and the start of the year has been filled with trying to catch up. I feel like I am flitting from one thing to the other and not quite ever getting the chance to breathe. So today, I hit pause for a few and went and got lost at Done Wiv a Twist. The wonderful group has redecorated the sim and the Asian garden theme was met with an audible sigh as I loaded, because I knew this was the perfect place to pause, and just reflect for a little bit.

But of course, couldn't wander out in just anything! The Bohemian in me absolutely loves this new dress from Alaskametro<3! The dress is available in several colors and is wonderfully detailed at the neckline with a hand drawn embellishment. The dress moves well and I love the detailing on the sleeves with them being open along the arm. Heathenesque Flirtation

It is a perfect late Spring day in the mountains today, so I decided to feature an outfit I would wear any day up here in the wild blue yonder!

Heathenesque is a store some of you haven't heard about, but I guarantee you will enjoy your visit! The flirty designs, complimentary pastel and natural palettes accented with black, and the exquisite details will draw you in; the gorgeous textures and versatile style will make you stay! The Retrogasm collection from /heathenesque/ is currently available in the main store, if you missed it at the 100 Block Event! The tops come in pastels and naturals, and solids and prints, all HUD driven, which expands their versatility. I decided to pair the top with these adorable peddle pushers from Coquet. I feature them in my "Gone Fishin" post, but due to the amazing fit, they have become an integral part of my daily wardrobe. The pants were at the May round of FaMeshed, but they are sweeping up their sidewalks and closing their doors, you might catch them, but if not, keep an eye out in the store! Same can be said for this amazing jewelry set from Zenith, so run to FaMeshed or check the store! If you haven't noticed, I have an obsession with a select few hair designers, and that is because I am very picky about my hair textures. Tameless, has become a quick favorite for several reasons, including the quality textures, excellent color choices, and the mixing of rigged and un-rigged hairs. A Vision of Light and Design

When wandering through Fashionart this dress literally made me stop in my tracks, do a double take and say, "I have NO reason to buy that dress, but it is AMAZING!" The fit is perfect, the texture and color combination is simply stunning, and was a delight to wear! A true piece of art to be worn. Adding too much in the way of accessories would have overwhelmed it, so I kept it simple with a set of chunky bracelets from Pure Poison, along with their Mbao bag and dainty rings from Leonard. The Alexandra heels have a wonderfully tall line to them, with the cuff that actually comes to the top of the ankle. I think they match perfectly with this dress, as a simple stiletto would have taken away from the dramatic lines of the dress. Now, this dress does not have an alpha that covers all of your pink bits (yay!) however, this means, there are no panties under the dress. I added basic blank panties from Epic and voila, problem solved. Enjoy the pictures and have a wonderfully wicked long weekend!
