Happy Monday everyone! Remember to just breathe - Featuring IT!, DeeTaleZ, Juna Artistic Tattoo, and Arcane SpellcasterAK - Creations

If my friends and family were asked to write down quotes from me, I have a feeling every one of them would write, "just breathe," since it happens to be my mantra. For many years I performed on stage with terrible stage fright, that at times made me almost immobile, and someone I used to know said that to me once and I realized that in the pause that comes with taking a deep breath, the nerves calm and the brain works a tad bit better than it did before. With everything going on in my personal life at the moment, I keep reminding those around me to just breathe, more for me than for them I'm sure, but either way it works! Even though I am not missing anyone and my relationship is going fabulously, I still find myself drawn to a certain song by Melissa Etheridge, simply because it reminds me to breathe and that everything will be fine in the end. Even a sinner stops to pray from time to time - Featuring Petit Chat, Moondance Boutique and more!

Earlier this week I went for my mammogram and once again they scheduled the 3D mammogram for today, and discussions between the Radiologist and the surgeon have already started, which of course has me a little pensive. The Black Swan’s Song – Featuring Virtual Diva, Petit Chat, Truth, Uber, Swank, Dead Dollz, Project Se7en

Due to circumstances beyond my control with my health lately, I have been unable to post as much as I would have liked. As I sit here tonight with time on my hands for the first time in a bit I can't seem to come up with a witty story or anecdote. Two and a half years ago I had the scariest 29 days of my life, and it seems my body has decided to do a repeat performance of that moment in time. And though I am not as afraid as I was the first time possible Breast Cancer was mentioned, I am also finding it harder to stay positive. For the last year it has been one thing right after the other in regards to my health and I am just ready for this roller coaster to stop. So instead of trying to eek out something meaningless I am simply going to talk to you about how I fell in love with this Black Swan creature I put together, and I hope you do too!

Just in time for that most Hallowed of seasons, Virtual Diva has created this stunning Black Swan ensemble, complete with feathers, crown, skirt and appliers, as well as this GORGEOUS eye makeup applier for LeLutka! I was looking for an updo hairstyle when I stumbled across this new release from Truth currently available at Uber, which is where I went to pick up Dead Dollz Ballet outfit so I could grab the perfect toe shoes and tights, bringing the entire ensemble together. And after that I literally scampered off to FOXCITY because I remembered they had a set of sexy ballet poses recently, but I got lost and stumbled into a bunch of purchases, and I couldn't be happier! From the stunning backgrounds, to props, to amazingly detailed poses, everything is a MUST have for anyone who takes photos, so head there if you haven't become addicted yet! Just a simple country girl at heart - Featuring Emberotic's Fashion Designs and Hudson's Clothing Company

Since Fall seems to have skipped over northern Arizona, my mind has been drifting back home to the southern Midwest, where I fell in love with Autumn. Dance Right HERE! Featuring Virtual Diva @ Swank!

I had an idea for the name of this post as I was doing it, and then well, you know how I am with music, and a song playing on Spotify ended up on repeat and I decided to share! My feet were dancing under the computer chair and I was bouncing along to the tune and though the song is about a pair of shoes that start the dancing, I decided that this dress from Virtual Diva made me feel the same way and I just wanted to start dancing around on the platform. I am glad no one logged in to see me up there being a nut but it was a much needed stress break! I think in the hustle and bustle of things in life we often forget to take some time and just blow off some steam. Whether it's a bit of heavy metal or simply bursting out in dance, as we get older we stop taking the time to do these things and it seriously stresses us out! Think about the days when you used to just take off and drive with no particular destination in mind, just to clear your head? The stereo up so loud to drown out the noise of the stress in your own head? Or dancing around the kitchen to the latest pop song on the kids radio, using the spatula as a microphone, hoping the kids don't come around the corner and catch you? We all need these moments in life, and today I am in NEED! So come along with me and just get up and dance where ever you are!

Have you ever had a friend misunderstand you so badly that it pretty much ends a friendship? While the strings that have held you together for years start to fall away, you sit, still stunned, because you never had any intention of hurting their feelings? I may be a weaver of words, but when things become emotional I become mute, especially when I have upset someone unintentionally. After a couple of months I have come to realize that not everyone, even those you thought were closest to you, will understand you all the time. We all get caught up in our own worlds and have a tendency to not step outside the box and do "others" thinking, as I call it. You have to identify the situation someone is in before you judge, and see it from the point of view of the person you have an issue with, but this rarely happens, and it's sad when assumptions become the rule not the exception. When all has been said and done and you are at peace with your side of things, all you can do is wait and see what the future holds and hope for the best because friendships are worth saving, not losing over a misunderstanding.

Not sure these boots were the right choice for a ride, but I am sure to get some attention! - Marquesse, Level Up!, Salacity

Today is one of the few days I have had time to be at the computer enough to do two blog posts, and of course that has nothing to do with it being the end of the month, and again I am behind. Beginning to think I need to drop a few sponsors as I continue to deal without having net at home and having to commute into town to blog. Which of course is the last thing I want to do, since I spent years getting to where I was happy with who I was blogging for etc., but it seems to be something I am going to have to do, since I feel like I am letting so many people down along the way. Spring Chic in Petit Chat and Ashmoot!

(This post was originally written on Monday, but due to a bit of an infection after oral surgery, I was unable to get it posted until today!)

I woke up this morning and while there was still sleep in my eyes I noticed a post from Powder Pack announcing the winners of their recent contest on Facebook. Feeling a bit G L A M O R OUS! - Virtual Diva @ Swank, Nord Embel'Lys, No.Match

Late Winter showers are the prelude to Spring flowers

The last couple of days have seen the temperatures skyrocketing into the high 50's and low 60's which means the snow has almost completely melted away from even the most shadowy spots and people are out and about on our trails soaking up the late Winter sun. Today, however, the clouds have begun to gather in the sky, threatening an afternoon shower or two, and possibly a few snow flurries. When we get snow and rain at this time of year I begin to get excited for the Spring flowers I know are right around the corner and no matter how cold it gets, or how wet, there is still a spring in my step! Happy Valentine's Day - featuring Marquesse, Noodles, No.Match, Empyrean Forge, Virtual Diva, ClaVv, The Epiphany

Today is one of those days I absolutely despised when I was single because it made me feel a little left out I guess. This year, though not single, I have come to discover that today is just another day if you happen to be in a relationship where you are consistently showing your significant other how you feel. The boyfriend and I just celebrated 9 months together last week, and like all the other months before hand, we exchanged cards, had dinner and reminded each other why we fell in love in the first place. So when the sun rose this morning on this day of love I simply said, "Good Morning," because for us, it is just another day. I might have picked up something different for dinner tonight, and I might have picked up a card sometime earlier this month just because I liked what it had to say, but for the most part Valentine's Day is every day in my life, and it should be for you too. No one should ever have to worry about where they stand in a relationship, they should know every day by the gestures that are made. Whether it's simply walking around to open the car door for you when going out for groceries, or picking up your favorite soda when your stomach is upset, or getting up early to take the car into the shop so you don't have to. These are the simply things, the little things that matter the most, not some grand gesture thought of at the last minute because someone reminded you it's Valentine's Day. If you truly love the one you are with, then show them that for you, every day is Valentine's Day because you are blessed to have them in your life.

Feeling fierce and fabulous

If something could go wrong today, it did, and at the same time, I had a run of good luck, as well. Which means this day has just been all together one very weird day. But as the day is starting to wind down, and I am beginning to decompress, and looking forward to sitting by the fire, I realize I am in a much better mood than I have been lately and I am actually feeling fierce and fabulous. Which, in my opinion, is how people should feel all the time, but as well all know, that isn't always the case. Life has a tendency to bog us down and make us feel heavy with the weight of our world resting on our shoulders. Notice I said "our" world, that's because everyone has their own universe they live in, while sharing the same space. The stressors I have today, are not the ones I had three weeks ago, and they are probably not the same ones you are facing in your own life today, so everyone, at some point, feels the weight of their world, and the shoulders begin to slump, the eyes lose their dazzle and people lose their shine. You would think on the day I had to once again have the Cancer antibody test that I would be feeling down, but I'm not. Maybe because I know a negative attitude is as powerful as a positive one, and I cannot allow myself to wallow in the world of what ifs, no one can actually. No matter what it is you have already faced, and no matter what troubles come your way in the future, there is nothing that cannot be handled one day at a time. Truly think about that for a moment, and all the things you have gone through in your life, and KNOW in your soul that taking baby steps, day by day is the only way to get through the tough times, and maybe putting on a mask of fierce and fabulous, because I believe firmly in the idea that what you show on the outside, reflects to the inside, so fake it until you make it and strut through the hardest of days and nights like a model on a runway!

Speaking of models, tomorrow marks the big day for the start of the 4th Annual Rock Your Rack, presented by Models Giving Back, to benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation! Breast cancer is one of the leading health crises for women. 1 in 8 women, and an every increasing percentage of men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. There is currently no known cure for breast cancer, and its early diagnosis is critical to survival.

Models Giving Back is pleased to present Rock Your Rack, an annual fundraising event combining the best of SL Music and Fashion to support the work of breast cancer charities and raise awareness for early detection which is critical to a positive outcome for this devastating disease.

This year's 4th annual event will support the National Breast Cancer Foundation providing mammograms, education, support and early detection services to anyone in need.

The 2016 Event is all together on one sim and involves 63 designers including 9 Gold sponsors: AlaFolie, Athena Couture, Dulce Secrets, Emerald Couture, Empyrean Forge, LaVian & Co, phedora, Prism and Kultivate Magazine. Along with these designers, 14 DJ's, 11 Live Musicians, 22 2D/3D artists, and 22 models will participate in the two week long event.

Events during the fundraiser include 9 fashion shows, 11 live musical concerts, 12 DJ dance parties, a 10L Hunt, Two Silent Auction areas, an Art Exhibit organized by Kultivate magazine, Art Auction and 7Seas Fishing Tournaments. Designers will be providing exclusive creations with 100% of the sales of those items going to the National Breast Cancer Foundation along with a fine selection of the newest and most popular designs donating a percentage as well.
