The perfect Autumn ensemble - Featuring Ashmoot, and Desmonia

If you have ever spent any time in the mountains of Arizona in the Fall, then you know how amazingly beautiful it can be, and how temperamental the weather is as well. The skies are crystal blue, with gorgeous white, fluffy clouds and the temperatures rise into the 70's during the day, while the evenings are dotted with campfires and bonfires, the smell of smoke in the air, sweaters and temps that dive into the 30's. As you can guess, getting dressed in the morning for the rest of the day can be a bit tricky, and I have come to understand the true meaning of layering, and I find myself wishing I could get away with some of the Autumn fashions I see donning the cover of the latest fashion magazines. But thanks to Second Life, I get to do just that, and this new ensemble from Ashmoot looks like it just came out of the pages of the October issue of Vogue magazine!

From head to toe this entire outfit is incredibly well designed, textured, and the attention to detail is absolutely amazing! The oversized sweater goes perfectly over the flirty, skater styled skirt, the jewelry and glasses are expertly designed to add the perfect details, and check out this magnificent purse that comes in two styles with and without poses. I just had to take more than one photo so I could show off all the details, including the gorgeous new nails and lips from Alaskametro and the fantastic shoes and stockings, also from Ashmoot, that complete this ensemble.

 

All the items from Ashmoot are currently available at Designer Circle, which opened on the 15th and will run through the 28th, which means you have a little bit of time to head over and grab this ensemble for yourself. The Black Swan’s Song – Featuring Virtual Diva, Petit Chat, Truth, Uber, Swank, Dead Dollz, Project Se7en

Due to circumstances beyond my control with my health lately, I have been unable to post as much as I would have liked. As I sit here tonight with time on my hands for the first time in a bit I can't seem to come up with a witty story or anecdote. Two and a half years ago I had the scariest 29 days of my life, and it seems my body has decided to do a repeat performance of that moment in time. And though I am not as afraid as I was the first time possible Breast Cancer was mentioned, I am also finding it harder to stay positive. For the last year it has been one thing right after the other in regards to my health and I am just ready for this roller coaster to stop. So instead of trying to eek out something meaningless I am simply going to talk to you about how I fell in love with this Black Swan creature I put together, and I hope you do too!

Just in time for that most Hallowed of seasons, Virtual Diva has created this stunning Black Swan ensemble, complete with feathers, crown, skirt and appliers, as well as this GORGEOUS eye makeup applier for LeLutka! I was looking for an updo hairstyle when I stumbled across this new release from Truth currently available at Uber, which is where I went to pick up Dead Dollz Ballet outfit so I could grab the perfect toe shoes and tights, bringing the entire ensemble together. And after that I literally scampered off to FOXCITY because I remembered they had a set of sexy ballet poses recently, but I got lost and stumbled into a bunch of purchases, and I couldn't be happier! From the stunning backgrounds, to props, to amazingly detailed poses, everything is a MUST have for anyone who takes photos, so head there if you haven't become addicted yet! And because this photo wasn't enough to show off the makeup or the new cuffs from Petit Chat, I just HAD to take a close up!

I adore this skin from Essences that was in the September Powder Pack, and for some reason I have started leaning towards the paler skins, only if they have great shading and details like this one does, and I have planned a little trip by the store to pick up a few more appliers for my LeLutka head. Just a simple country girl at heart - Featuring Emberotic's Fashion Designs and Hudson's Clothing Company

Locked up tight! Featuring Petit Chat, Powder Pack and Truth

The last 24 hours have proven to be the most stressful we have had in months, but at least this time it wasn't all negative stress! Since yesterday morning we have found out I need to have heart surgery before Christmas, my son's ultrasound was inexplicably moved up to today, my other half got a job interview for today, and by the end of the day yesterday, he also had a job offer just outside Seattle, WA and we are currently in Arizona. Needless to say our heads are spinning and I'm not sure if we can tell up from down at the moment. A bit ago I wrote a post about chasing after your dreams, and now the kids are looking to us to see if we are going to follow them or watch an opportunity pass us by. We were really thinking about how he was going to move there while I stayed here with the kids, for the last one to graduate, which would have meant 9 months apart. Good news came on that front today, when they told him they would hold the job for 6 months, which has made both of us breathe a bit easier, but it sure hasn't relieved the stress associated with this decision. So if I seem a bit scattered I apologize, and I hope you can all bare with me during this interesting time in my life!

As usual I ran away to Second Life to try and zone out for a bit and let the world fall away and it worked! For just a little while I was able to concentrate on something else and I think my blood pressure has settled back down and my heart is beating normally instead of like a junior high Jazz band on the first day of school, well that was until I started this post! (LOL) But beautiful things have a habit of making me relax and this whole ensemble of new releases did just that, at least for a few minutes! I don't even know where to start here with all these goodies, so I will start from the bottom up with this adorable new release from Petit Chat for The Darkness Monthly event that runs through the 30th. "Eyes on fire, Your spine is ablaze, Felling any foe with my gaze." Featuring the new Powder Pack release and Persefona

I started blogging to fill the gap created when I became disabled and no longer could work a traditional job, and because it gave me the chance to dip my feet back into the fashion and interior design worlds I had been separated from for years. At one point I was trying to blog for too many creators and it became a bit overwhelming, to be honest, and no longer served it's purpose of relieving stress and helping me to feel like I still could contribute to society. When my health took a turn for the worse I made the hard decision to step away from some of my blogging responsibilities and with that has come a sense of freedom. I have more time to concentrate on each and every photo and post, giving me the ability to better promote those who have chosen me to represent them with my blog. And with this freedom I have finally been able to work on my photo and editing skills, and with this has come recognition from artists I have followed and admired. Though I was never really looking for it, because as I said, I blog for my sponsors and I, and as long as they love what I do, I am content. But to see my photos soaring over a thousand views and hundreds of likes makes my heart burst with joy, because it means other people appreciate the artwork I create, and often times follow my blog, allowing them to also follow my real life, not just the fashion and decor of Second Life. The passion I originally started with has returned in abundance and I continue to watch and read tutorials about photography and photoshop, furthering my knowledge and allowing my art to grow.

One of the hardest things for me over the years in regards to photography on Second Life was the close up photo. Before I had my good computer everything got choppy up close, and since I couldn't render materials, I could never show off jewelry or makeup very well and it broke my heart. Once I did an upgrade on the computer I suddenly could do things I had never dreamed of with my photos and the settings on Second Life, but still the great close up alluded me. Everything always looked disproportionate and out of focus and I continued to struggle. After reading a few photo tutorials and learning a bit more about Firestorm I suddenly had perfectly proportioned, clear close ups and could show off jewelry and makeup like I had always wanted to, and this photo is a perfect example!

August 1st marked the release of the Powder Pack for LeLutka August edition and I had been dying to dive into the boxes, but my schedule hadn't permitted that until yesterday. This is probably my favorite pack since I started getting them, so I know they are expensive but do yourself a favor and go grab one, or make sure to reserve the next one, because you won't ever be disappointed. Today I am showing off gorgeous new eyes from Avi Glam, fresh new skin from Essences, and makeup from Zibska, Arise, and OHeMO. One of the things I love the most about the last full month of Summer, is the trend towards a redheads colour palette! It's the time of year when the palettes meet and meld together in some of the most spectacular of ways and I absolutely fell in love with this combination! As always Zibska has released perfect eye shadows that remind me of the sunsets in Arizona. The colours are blended well and I love the sparkles and shine, especially combined with this subtle brown lipstick from Arise. As most of you know, I have been an IKON eye addict, and I truly have never worn anything else because I love the shine and wide variety of colours. Avi Glam has blown me away with the Lure eyes, a new release for the August LeLutka Power Pack, with their gorgeous shine, fabulous colour choices and fantastic HUD to change the colours, size, and depth, making them incredibly versatile and you can bet I will be heading over to check out more eye releases!

One of the thing photographers often have happen in real life, are bokeh lights. They occur a lot around water and where there are lights and reflections and can add depth and shine to your Second Life photos, but they have to be added after through an editing program. Persefona has released a Bokeh Photography gacha set for the latest round of Cosmopolitan and I loved playing with them via the hud, changing their glow and size allowing me to create the lighting for this photo without having to add them via after effects. All photographers need to add this to their box of prop goodies, you won't be disappointed, and you can bet I will be avidly watching Persefona from now on! Hearts on fire

It happens to be one of those days where I can't seem to find my words since my mind is in such a jumble. For the last couple of months the schools in Flagstaff, one in particular, have been the target of what I would call school terrorism. Notes have been found talking of school shootings etc, with dates and targets, and it has everyone on edge. For the second day in a row, my son's girl friends school has gone into shutdown under threats and more notes found and I find my brain isn't on work as much as it is on the safety of not only my own children but all of those effected by these circumstances. We all have drawn a bit closer in the last few days and I am in contact more frequently with my man, basically pulling my family close to me like the mother hen I am. So excuse me for not having much to say the past few days, my mind is occupied with all kinds of things right now, which means anything I write turns into a jumbled mess.
