The perfect Autumn ensemble - Featuring Ashmoot, and Desmonia

If you have ever spent any time in the mountains of Arizona in the Fall, then you know how amazingly beautiful it can be, and how temperamental the weather is as well. The skies are crystal blue, with gorgeous white, fluffy clouds and the temperatures rise into the 70's during the day, while the evenings are dotted with campfires and bonfires, the smell of smoke in the air, sweaters and temps that dive into the 30's. As you can guess, getting dressed in the morning for the rest of the day can be a bit tricky, and I have come to understand the true meaning of layering, and I find myself wishing I could get away with some of the Autumn fashions I see donning the cover of the latest fashion magazines. But thanks to Second Life, I get to do just that, and this new ensemble from Ashmoot looks like it just came out of the pages of the October issue of Vogue magazine!

From head to toe this entire outfit is incredibly well designed, textured, and the attention to detail is absolutely amazing! The oversized sweater goes perfectly over the flirty, skater styled skirt, the jewelry and glasses are expertly designed to add the perfect details, and check out this magnificent purse that comes in two styles with and without poses. I just had to take more than one photo so I could show off all the details, including the gorgeous new nails and lips from Alaskametro and the fantastic shoes and stockings, also from Ashmoot, that complete this ensemble.

 

All the items from Ashmoot are currently available at Designer Circle, which opened on the 15th and will run through the 28th, which means you have a little bit of time to head over and grab this ensemble for yourself. The shoes come in 3 different colors, so you can choose to spice up this outfit even more, as well as 2 choices for the purse, and there is also a Ghost version of the sweater, a perfect choice for a casual Halloween party or to just get into the spirit of the season a little bit.

The Black Swan’s Song – Featuring Virtual Diva, Petit Chat, Truth, Uber, Swank, Dead Dollz, Project Se7en

Due to circumstances beyond my control with my health lately, I have been unable to post as much as I would have liked. As I sit here tonight with time on my hands for the first time in a bit I can't seem to come up with a witty story or anecdote. Two and a half years ago I had the scariest 29 days of my life, and it seems my body has decided to do a repeat performance of that moment in time. And though I am not as afraid as I was the first time possible Breast Cancer was mentioned, I am also finding it harder to stay positive. For the last year it has been one thing right after the other in regards to my health and I am just ready for this roller coaster to stop. So instead of trying to eek out something meaningless I am simply going to talk to you about how I fell in love with this Black Swan creature I put together, and I hope you do too!

Just in time for that most Hallowed of seasons, Virtual Diva has created this stunning Black Swan ensemble, complete with feathers, crown, skirt and appliers, as well as this GORGEOUS eye makeup applier for LeLutka! I was looking for an updo hairstyle when I stumbled across this new release from Truth currently available at Uber, which is where I went to pick up Dead Dollz Ballet outfit so I could grab the perfect toe shoes and tights, bringing the entire ensemble together. And after that I literally scampered off to FOXCITY because I remembered they had a set of sexy ballet poses recently, but I got lost and stumbled into a bunch of purchases, and I couldn't be happier! From the stunning backgrounds, to props, to amazingly detailed poses, everything is a MUST have for anyone who takes photos, so head there if you haven't become addicted yet! And because this photo wasn't enough to show off the makeup or the new cuffs from Petit Chat, I just HAD to take a close up!

I adore this skin from Essences that was in the September Powder Pack, and for some reason I have started leaning towards the paler skins, only if they have great shading and details like this one does, and I have planned a little trip by the store to pick up a few more appliers for my LeLutka head. Just a simple country girl at heart - Featuring Emberotic's Fashion Designs and Hudson's Clothing Company

Since Fall seems to have skipped over northern Arizona, my mind has been drifting back home to the southern Midwest, where I fell in love with Autumn.  The sun filled days, with a bit of a soft breeze on the air that happens to have a bit more of a chill in it than August; the Oaks, Maples, and Sycamore trees in a color battle, creating a multi-hued landscape of yellows, oranges and crimson; the smell of the last Honeysuckle on the vines; bonfires at night, where sweatshirts and jeans are enough to keep out the crisp, Fall, evening air; and roasted peanuts to keep your fingers warm as you watch the Friday night football game.  Though Flagstaff has become home, and I am finally living a bit like the country girl I truly am, I still miss the boondocks were I came from, and the slow Mississippi that made me.
