I haven't had a chance to check out the latest round of Mesh Avenue yet, but from what I have heard and seen in the previews it is well worth the visit, and I am sure you will find me there later! The month of July is almost half over and I just have no idea where it went! The first day of school is just around the corner for my teen and I have to say I might be counting down the days to when my daytime hours are mine again! Today I am switching things up a bit and presenting all of the amazing creations from AnaMarkova Designs that are currently out and about at events. As you all can tell I have been enjoying the discovery that I can use "advanced lighting" up on my little platform and I can't explain how happy this makes me. It may have taken literally 4 hours to take 6 pictures, but it's worth it! At least I hope so! I know here soon that I won't be taking that much time, because I won't need to see ALL the windlights in "advanced." I feel a bit like a kid in a candy store! So many amazing things you can do with just a click of a different windlight. I have noticed however, that I have to be careful because occasionally things get all jagged again even though I have the filters on to keep that from happening. I have decided this is my pc's way of letting me know it's a bit tired and that it needs a break, so I listen and wander off for awhile so the hamsters can relax and have a smoke break or whatever. So any of you out there frustrated with your p.o.s. computers and their failing graphics. then shoot me a note inworld (JadedPanther Resident) or find me on Facebook (Jade Samsara) and I will share with you the tricks I have discovered along the way. I am by no means a photo expert nor do I take the best pictures, but over the last year and a half I have found ways to utilize what I have to the best of its ability. I love these shoes from Bens Boutique, that came with an outfit at Vintage and Cool a couple of months ago. So check the store to see if they are available outside the outfit. I have recently discovered Lumae skins, and I have to say I think they are wonderful! The skins are reasonably priced and the appliers are only 99L for each skin tone, and I mean ALL appliers! I found them through the Lazy Sunday group, as I have found a lot of other creators that I had not known of before, or hadn't had the chance to try yet because honestly, paying full price scares me sometimes when it comes to skins. Yes, I know demos are great and everything, but we all know that often times the demos only come with one example, and you don't get a chance to see the WHOLE product, so getting to pick up a skin from someone you haven't tried before for 75L or under, is FANTASTIC!

The Chapter Four opened just a few days ago at a new location (yay) and I just had to wander over during a recent shopping therapy date. The new location was a lot less laggy for me than the old sim, and I was quite pleased to be able to maneuver quickly and easily through the 3 areas. Les Petits Details is not usually a designer I go to for my everyday look, but this adorable outfit blew me away! The eyelet lace on the "Nicole" top and skirt is perfectly done, as are the shadows and textures. The slight poof to the skirt makes it lie well whether walking or standing, but of course there are a few issues when sitting, but not many. I only had to adjust my body fat by a couple of numbers to have this perfectly on my shape, which as you all know by now, is a HUGE thing for me. The standard sizes have a scale they fit in, and I know where my shape lies and I know that I shouldn't have to make many adjustments if the creator is working off the SL Standard Size guidelines. Always something to keep in mind when out shopping on the grid!
FaMeshed has also been open for a few days now, and Tableau Vivant has a fantastic hair at the event you should go pick up! I will be honest, I haven't been a fan of Tableau really, up until now. The Andree Solstice hair comes in two sizes; one for the implant crowd and another for those who don't care for the mesh breasts. Now, I have had a question posed to me about hair bases and here is the truth. I wear a hair base, usually from Wasabi Pills because of the variety of colors, with EVERY hair I wear. I think it gives a much more natural look and honestly I feel a bit naked without one.
I wandered over to Slink West to check out the My Slink Obsession event (post coming soon) and ended up wandering the sim for HOURS in a Slink induced haze! Everything you need for your Slink parts is available! I happened upon these wonderful shoes from SYSY on my adventure. I love the style on these wonderfully dainty shoes. A lot of the Slink shoes coming out lately have a chunky heel and I am not a fan. I love the sexy look of a stiletto and how it enhances the curve of a ladies leg. These shoes are perfectly feminine and I have grabbed a couple pairs to keep around. And if you hadn't heard, IKON just released a new line of eyes, Immortal/Mortal. Each set of eyes comes with both styles and in system and mesh eyes. As usual, the textures and colors are wonderful and I have fallen in love with these very haunted looking eyes. I think accessories can overload an outfit at times, and because I wanted to focus on the beauty of this I tried to not distract everyone with a lot of bling. Just simple bracelets from **Feel**, though they are a gift from a former event. Check out the little boutique and see what you can find!
I am not usually one to run off to a new event for something, but the After 6 Days new event, Mix n Match intrigued me enough that I headed off to see all the goodies. One of the aspects that got my attention was the special promotion available where you purchase an item on sale at the event and in that, comes a HUD that you wear and get a discount at the mainstore of 50% off a coordinating item. Sound a bit confusing? It really isn't, buy what you want at the event, and then head to the stores for a half price item. Which, by the way, is exactly what I did with the Golden Queen Chess set from Pure Poison. This fantastic handbag is only 100L at the event and the amazing shoes, are 100L after the discount! I love a good deal any day, and this is my pick of the week!
I absolutely love the details on the purse and shoes! The heel on the shoes is quite unique and Pure Poison did a great job on all the details for the set. While picking up the shoes, I decided to look around the store and see if I could find a "little black dress" perfect for the occasion and I was delighted to find exactly what I was looking for! The mesh on this dress fits wonderfully with zero adjustments to my normally curvacious shape, which is always a plus in my book! Once I had those pieces all together, I knew too many accessories would junk up the outfit, so I picked just a couple of my favorites to add just the right bit of sass, from Zenith, Modern Couture and Maxi Gossamer.
From the moment I saw the previews for this round of Collabor88, I knew I was in trouble. The Safari theme has brought a lot of creativity to this round from all the designers and I found myself having to pick and choose between a few things, because I couldn't afford to let myself run rampant! This bohemian panther stocked her closet and even put a few things aside to go back for before they close up shop this month!
Let's start off with this adorable hair from Clawtooth! The Adventure Girl hair comes in the standard Clawtooth colors, which of course I just had to have in the reds, plus this great hat! The hat is color changeable upon touch, and provides a variety of colors from which to choose. I chose the Terracotta, because it fit so well with this dress and shoes. The dress by katat0nik, is very well made and textured. My only issue is, I am not a fan of the "average", "thin", "curvy" and "divine" mesh clothes. The adjustments I had to make, for my jubblies to fit in this dress were drastic, and much more than I would do normally. But, with how adorable it is, I just HAD to squeeze them in the average, as the "curvy" was WAY too big. So bare this in mind when heading over and grabbing one for yourself. I loved the Giraffe print, but there are several colors and patterns to choose from. Zenith, has once again blown me away, and not with accessories this time, with SHOES! I have not found a better styled, detailed or textured wedge/platform for the Slink High feet. They fit perfectly and all the colors in the beads make them very versatile; as does the variety of colors. And no outfit is complete without the perfect accessories! Maxi Gossamer has a large collection at Collabor88, but I could not live without the Vallari Collar. The stacked rings fit well and it can be sized to fit your neck easily, if it doesn't already sit perfectly when you first put it on yourself. The collection however, has lots of pieces, so make sure and grab your favorites! Go wild at Collabor88 this round, you won't be disappointed! After all, we all need to let our inner beasts roam free from time to time!
As we have hit mid month, I wanted to make sure everyone had made it to this months round of FaMeshed and Collabor88 as there are some amazing finds! Valentina E has managed to catch my attention since April with their offerings at FaMeshed, and this round is no exception! I fell in love with this bikini in the photo, and without trying a demo I impulse bought with hopes it fit well. I ran home and unpacked it and was pleasantly surprised to find I didn't have to adjust my shape, other than a little in the bum! The alpha is remarkably done, because well, with mesh bikinis, no matter what you do, you always seem to show off the glaring, gaping hole beneath the bottoms. Which, honestly drives me insane! However, the cut of this swimsuit, and the alpha are perfect, unless you plan on sitting like a linebacker on the bench waiting to get called in to play. The top, no matter what size gives ample room for those of us who tend towards larger breasts and yet still doesn't gap around the ribcage or back. A beautiful piece over all and one that everyone should have in their favorite color, as we all need a little sophistication in our beach wear collections.
On to Collabor88 where I picked up these fantastic shoes by Zenith, and gorgeous stacked collar from Maxi Gossamer! Again, Zenith has won my heart over with these shoes! The Bohemian String Platforms come in a variety of colors for the straps, while the beads and wedge heels stay the same. I chose the chocolate as I think they worked the best with this outfit. For the price, you can pick up several colors to accent your summer wardrobe and be very happy! I know I am. The Vallari Collection offered from Maxi Gossamer is truly gorgeous, and I wish I had been able to afford all of it, but *le sigh* I had to pick my favorite piece, and it had to be the stunning stacked "vintage" metal collar. It comes with a texture HUD so you have 5 options, making it a very versatile piece of jewelry. And of course, a previous FaMeshed release from Maxi Gossamer adorn my hands, as the Bali Hand jewelry completed the look! Ever have one of those moments where you doubt you will ever get into an event? And then suddenly....BOOM the tele works and you make an audible squeal of delight? Today, I had one of those moments! After 3 hours of banging my head against an invisible barrier (literally), suddenly I double clicked and I was IN! And, of course, in my invisible alpha avatar, I couldn't move. So after 10 minutes, I floated off to the side and started panning around the sim in search of, let's call it my prey! And in the forested venue of Heathenesque I found what I was looking for; the new Hoofies collection!
These fantastically detailed horns, and boots are exclusive to the event and will only be sold in a limited number. Once they are gone, they will never be sold again! The original mesh "hoof" boots are made for Slink high feet and are another wonderfully detailed creation from Jamie of Heathenesque! The natural horns, another original mesh, fit perfectly and have adorable ribbons and beaded details. The dress, not an exclusive, but a new item, looks like real leather and is a wonderful fit, so make sure to complete the outfit by picking up either the black or brown! I had to add a couple of accessories I picked up at the event to tie it all together, the collar from Pekka, and rings from Faun. Do yourself a favor and don't envy your friends for what they picked up at Project Limited and make sure you have grabbed your own!
I know I am a little bit behind for this month, but wanted to take the time and do a post spotlighting MoDANNA, for the latest round of The Big Show, and Zenith from The Arcade and Collabor88. This stunning gypsy skirt comes in a few different colors and is matched up for The Big Show with adorable bandana tops, but off to the side were these gorgeous tank tops that match up perfectly with this skirt. The top has a plunging neckline that might require a few adjustments around the breasts, but it fits wonderfully. Another fantastic detail is the fact this top is essentially backless and provides a very sexy side view as well as from the front and back. Zenith has become a fast and furious favorite of mine, and once again at both The Arcade and Collabor88, they provide stunning accessories! The bag is the Rare from The Arcade, and the necklace and rings can be found at Collabor88 before they close! It comes with appliers, as seen here in my Lolas, for those of us who like our curves! The daring slit on the side of this dress shows off the gams, yet cuts in nicely so you aren't flashing the world your pink parts!
If you haven't had the pleasure of discovering *PROMAGIC* yet, let me introduce you to them with these AMAZING mule style stiletto heels currently available at The Instruments until the 28th! The black is deep enough to not look dingy, but they have enough detail to not look flat! The heels have nice stitching down the heel with a white spike tip. Love them for that flirty, sexy feel of the stiletto without the bulk of straps. KV Fashion Month started this last week, and I have to say I was incredibly impressed with the number of exclusives offered in their three different areas at the event. The main area, Shopping Way has over 60 discounted and exclusive pieces; Pret-a-Porte (ready to wear) features 42 exclusives and the Haute Couture section has 17 to offer. Needless to say, there are quite a few items at this event you will not find anywhere else.
One of the very first things that caught my eye finds its home out on the shopping way. Orage presents this entire outfit, top, pants, watch and ear cuff for an amazing price and I was quite pleased with the fit of this. Both pieces fit quite well, despite having to take my legs down to toothpicks! The way it flows, makes the legs seem of normal proportions and that made me very happy. Perfect for those beach nights, or lounging around with friends, this outfit makes a wonderful edition to my summer wardrobe. Pure Poison released an absolutely stunning set of flat sandals for Slink feet last month and I finally found the perfect outfit to show them off! The seahorse is exquisitely detailed and they fit and lay perfectly on Slinks flat feet. I am in love with these rings from Yummy @ The Arcade right now, and plan on heading back to get more!
