I remember when I was younger my Mom often quoted lines from "Rebel Rebel" by David Bowie to me and I can say I was a fan long before I really understood his genius.  Before I left on my leave of absence for surgery I had wanted to do a post to honour the man who inspired me, and whose music kept me company often in the darkest of moments, but I never had the chance.  Upon my return this past week I was excited to see the current round of InspirationSL dedicated to David Bowie, and immediately dug into my blogger box from IT! to see what goodies had been designed for the event!  In true Bowie style, or should I say, with no particular style in mind, other than a bit of a longing for the 70's, I put a little scene and ensemble together to share with you all!

With my serious retro mood on, I was delighted to unpack this fantastic retro gaming set, only available for 2 more days at the first round of Geektopia from [CIRCA], which mixed and matched PERFECTLY with the Candy Retro Set from unKindness.  If you happen to run by the store to see the set, make sure to check out the Cocktail Hour set as well for more pieces to mix and match!  

The Aqua lights are a gift at the event, so make sure you drop by to check them out.  The Pod Chairs and lounges come in a wide variety of color combinations as well as a choice of with or without blanket on the lounges as well.  All the furniture pieces have a variety of poses on them, so I am sure you will find the perfect fit for your individual home.  

I have so much to share but my brain seems to be going far too fast to organize itself into any type of coherent prose, so I will just say there are lots of changes going on in my life and today marks the last post done on my piece of crap computer.  My new computer is out for delivery with UPS and I will most likely be spending the rest of the day getting all that set up.  I can't wait to show off the new graphics on Monday, so see you then, and remember always stay true to your style and make today's trends in fashion and home décor work for you!

Needless to say the moment I opened the New Releases from Livid,  I was inspired.  As I started to put the outfit on I suddenly felt like a Gothic Christmas Angel that should be atop a tree.  The textures on these dresses from Livid are gorgeous and the "Holy Relics" accessory collection is magnificent.  Every detail in this ensemble compliments the other making it a truly exquisite find.  I know the Garter doesn't really show, but you have to know there is a gorgeous garter that matches this set, so hurry on over to the store and grab yours today!  So you too, can feel like a Christmas Angel. 

Everything came together for me with this dress.  The "Medea" skin from Poudre in the "Eyestain Gold" matched perfectly as did the "Bramble" hair from Spellbound; and I finally had a reason to use these STUNNING wings I got from DRD sometime last Spring in a gacha, so check the store. 

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week and remember random acts of kindness are truly what this season is about...  Even if it is just the simple act of rescuing a forgotten angel from your nearest Thrift Shop and giving her a purpose again atop your tree.  For in that one small act, you may very well warm the hearts of those around that tree, and possibly of those you have never met, that your donation feeds one very cold night.  Tthat is what your one random act or donation truly means.

Stalking Prey

Well, we have officially passed the midway point of the month, which means Thanksgiving is RIGHT around the corner and the month of December is knocking on the door.  This also mean, the Fall Fest from SL Vogue will be closing its doors soon and sweeping up those sidewalks.  Which means, you don't have very much time left to TELE on over and have a look at the amazing venue and grab your exclusives!  &Y is a new creator to me, but I have to say I have loved every outfit I have been given to blog from the store!  If you are like me, the radio is always on in some part of the house, which means "Animals" from Maroon 5, is playing quite often.  I have become a tad bit obsessed with it, and this particular outfit seemed to SCREAM for it!   I love the fit of this dress and the boots are to DIE for, honestly!  And it takes a bit to really make me happy when it comes to a tall boot.  Felt a bit like a business woman who had slipped into her favorite boots after work to hit the bars with the girls!  Hmm...that sounds like a brilliant idea!  I am grabbing my favorite pair of thigh highs and heading on out, you should go grab yours tonight!

Bohemian Lost

As those of you who read and follow my blog know, a "Bohemian Lost" post, means it is most likely not about anything I received from sponsors, and more about me wandering and finding something that is so "Me" that I just can't resist!  This amazing outfit from Les Petits Details is a perfect example!  I often drop by the MixnMatch event each month to see what goodies they have to offer, as I love the concept of the event and usually end up with some fantastic pieces!  This trip was no exception.  If you don't know about MixnMatch, then let me entice you a bit!  Though there are not many items available at the event, the key is the amazing HUD you get with every purchase that leads you to a complimentary piece at the main stores for each designer @ MixnMatch.  Yesterday, I grabbed this gorgeous jacket from LPD, attached my HUD and ran over to the store to get the pants at a discount!  I might have done more shopping while I was there, which I think is part of the appeal for this event.  It gets your bootie in the stores to see more than what is just offered at events!

This jacket mesh is absolutely perfect!  With all my posing and wandering around, the jacket never "broke", which is always a plus when trying to capture the perfect picture!  The jackets come in at least 4 versions, as do the pants, but the pants come with a HUD so you get 7 textures for the belts that are all complimentary to the jackets.  Truly, a very well done outfit!

I know I rave about them all the time, but if you haven't gone and checked out the amazing skins from Poudre then you are missing out!  The skins are incredibly detailed and the shapes really don't need much adjustment, maybe a little on height, but for the most part they are PERFECT!  Today I am featuring one of the Leilani skins, "Breeze Blue".  Each skin comes in a variety of colors with cleavage options as well.   So make sure and head on over and try the skins and I promise you will not be disappointed!

Fall into Autumn @ XY Room

Heathenesque @ Project Limited!

Ever have one of those moments where you doubt you will ever get into an event?  And then suddenly....BOOM the tele works and you make an audible squeal of delight?  Today, I had one of those moments!  After 3 hours of banging my head against an invisible barrier (literally), suddenly I double clicked and I was IN!  And, of course, in my invisible alpha avatar, I couldn't move.  So after 10 minutes, I floated off to the side and started panning around the sim in search of, let's call it my prey!  And in the forested venue of Heathenesque I found what I was looking for; the new Hoofies collection!

These fantastically detailed horns, and boots are exclusive to the event and will only be sold in a limited number.  Once they are gone, they will never be sold again!  The original mesh "hoof" boots are made for Slink high feet and are another wonderfully detailed creation from Jamie of Heathenesque!   The natural horns, another original mesh, fit perfectly and have adorable ribbons and beaded details.  The dress, not an exclusive, but a new item, looks like real leather and is a wonderful fit, so make sure to complete the outfit by picking up either the black or brown!  I had to add a couple of accessories I picked up at the event to tie it all together, the collar from Pekka, and rings from Faun.  Do yourself a favor and don't envy your friends for what they picked up at Project Limited and make sure you have grabbed your own!

Destination Templemore in Boho Chic

I decided yesterday morning to look for some new places to take pictures and stumbled upon the most wonderful place!!  Templemore is a lush and magical location with amazing scenery!  The intimate feel of the scenic areas lends to a private getaway, even if there are others around.  It was a wonderful place to go get lost for a bit, and if you follow my blog, I love to go get lost.  To wander off the beaten path to somewhere I have never been before, just for the sake of wandering.

The regions lighting is quite lovely, so make sure to keep it on when you visit, unless of course taking pictures!  Then play until  you find the perfect setting for your photo.  However, for those taking pictures for blogs, advertisements, etc., the region does not allow scripts, so using an Expression HUD to enhance the photos is out of the question!  I did find, that if I waited for just the right moment, that I didn't need my HUD to catch the perfect shot.

While strolling through, I decided to take a few pictures and share with you one of my favorite daily outfits.  The patchwork dress from ArisAris with its exquisitely detailed bodice of crocheted lace, and whimsical bottom in a quilted patchwork pattern, is a splendid example of my Boho Chic style.  It comes in 3 color combinations at the main store, white, the patchwork natural and a monochrome version.  The mesh for this dress is very well made, and doesn't break when you walk, unlike many others around.  And for those wondering what the big deal is about how a mesh "breaks"....it means the world when it comes to taking pictures!  Don't have to worry about clips or splits when taking pictures, which is always a plus in my book!

This darling hair is by Spellbound and I have not been able to take it off since I bought it.  The scarf on this hair is HUD driven, lending to a very versatile look, which I think is important when purchasing hairs.  Spellbound has grabbed my attention recently with their unique hair designs and quality textures, so make sure to go and check them out, if you haven't yet.  Accessorized with just a few pieces from Pure Poison, Maxi Gossamer, Lazuri and Letis Tattoos, this outfit makes my little bohemian heart happy!
