It has been over a year now since I have blogged anything from LiViD, and whether that has been unconsciously on purpose, of if I have just missed the deliveries with my absences, I don't know.  But for the year prior to that, almost every post I did for LiViD I did in combination with one of the most amazing women to ever walk this planet.  Last April she left this world which was filled with pain and illness for her, and entered the world of angels, which is appropriate, since that was her name.  When I saw the delivery at the end of last week from LiViD I actually smiled and got excited about doing a post with my friend on my mind.  I could hear her in my ear as I decorated this scene, "put this there", "that looks stupid woman, move that thing," and instead of feeling the intense sense of loss that has accompanied my thoughts of her over the year, I was smiling and blew a kiss to the heavens, it was refreshing, to say the least.  Grief is a fickle flower in my opinion, because it often jumps up to bite you at the most unexpected times, and it isn't until a moment like this that you realize you have moved past the grief to a better place.  I miss her terribly and every day she is on my mind but it no longer paralyzes me, and I hope those who shared her light are starting to feel the same way.  And to celebrate that, let's have a tea party with your local witches or the Coven next door.

LiViD has released two different tea collections in April, the Coven Tea Party set is a new release in the store that comes complete with tables, chairs, tea, as well as Tea Leaf Reading and Rune sets, and an adorable black cat curled up on the ottoman.  Also, the Witches Tea Party set is party of the Egg Hunt going on in the store, which has several pieces not featured here so make sure to "hop" by the store and get your hunt on to check out all the truly fabulous pieces from LiViD.  Every piece in both collections is incredibly well made and textured with an amazing attention to detail.  Check out that leather texture!  It is truly gorgeous and you can count on these chairs becoming a permanent part of my home (when I finally get one set up again)!  I love all the little details in these sets, like the Raven holding the invitation, tea leaf reading cups, to the Black Hat Society Memorial which I thought belonged up on the mantle, but of course pick yours up and decorate until your heart is content!  Be sure to check out the list below so you can also pick up the altar from Soy as well as the pentacle rug from unKindness, a past release, which happen to work quite nicely with the sets from LiViD.  Enjoy your shopping and remember being a witch isn't just about Halloween, so invite your favorite witch over for some tea and make their heart happy!

The Heatwave @ Sneak Peek!

Livid brings us the final release for the Winter season with the "Barock Doll" dress collection that features the dress in three colors, the boots, the collar and a clutch to match each dress.  An absolutely amazing amount of time is spent on attention to detail, which can be seen by the ensembles put together and released!  This whole Winter season has been inspired by the Baroque era and each design has stayed true to the theme and the Doll dresses are a wonderful conclusion to the seasons collection.  If you haven't managed to stop by the store, then you are truly missing out on some amazing designs!  Rumor has it, there are dark Valentine's affairs going on over at the store, so hurry up and make your way on over!

Sisters of Light and Dark

Two sisters born of noble blood, just a few years apart; one dark one light.  Who could have known that over time a hatred would grow between them, drawing the raven haired Princess to darkness and the golden one to the light.  

The eldest with no life of her own as she is consumed by watching every move of her sister.  Peering through the keyhole into her secret room at the top of the stairs.  The place she knows evil spells are cast during the darkest days of the moon.  But tonight the door was ajar and there stood her sister, beckoning her to come inside.  The hairs on her arm stood up, but she continued across the threshold determined to not let her little sister see her cringe.  

Spinning to take in the wonders surrounding her, she heard her sisters voice in her ears, far off and distant.  A mechanical heart?  Herbs and vines growing along the walls in the dimmest of lights?  Strange aromas, tangy and somewhat pungent filled her nose making her head spin.  An almost wicked smile tugging at the corners of her sisters mouth as she watched.

Closing her eyes and envisioning the light that fueled her heart, she drew a deep breath before turning from her sister to try and comprehend all she saw.  So many thoughts swirling through her head as she took in what could only be called a laboratory; catching the sight of a bed in the corner with what could very well be a body concealed beneath its covers.  Turning and trying to speak she finds an undeniably evil grin gracing her sisters face, instantly making her heart cold.  

The door, an exit, an escape was the only thing she could think of at that moment.  No longer was she interested in what curiosities lay within the room, all she wanted was to runaway, to breathe fresh clean air and to wrap herself in the light of goodness.  Shaking her head as she stepped to the door she looked back, again puzzled how two sisters of noble blood could end up so very different, and how one could have been born evil while the other was basked in light.  "An age old question." she whispered and slipped away down the stairs into the daylight.

Evil Princess

Hello everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful week and have started a wicked weekend!  It is my pleasure to bring to you tonight the second release from Livid of the season, inspired by the Baroque era.  Every time I open a box from Livid I get excited because I know that whatever goodie is inside will be of fantastic quality with an almost unmatched attention to detail!  From the crown with its intricate patterns to the "Royal Hand Kiss" gloves to the gorgeous "Ascension" boots every accessory is perfectly matched to the "Royal Decadence" coat and expertly designed.

The stockings come in several layer options, and since the boots are not made for Slink, then there is no need for appliers, and I have to say I couldn't tell the difference between other boots and these.  They are wonderfully detailed and are rigged perfectly in place!  Which of course saves so much time and makes them a pair that will be worn more than once.  CatWa's "MissFortune" was a perfect accent to this outfit for me and fit perfectly with the coat.  The hair is available in several different color packs, sizes and has a couple versions as well.  There is a little bit of a build going on at the store so make sure to take the temporary landmark!

Needless to say the moment I opened the New Releases from Livid,  I was inspired.  As I started to put the outfit on I suddenly felt like a Gothic Christmas Angel that should be atop a tree.  The textures on these dresses from Livid are gorgeous and the "Holy Relics" accessory collection is magnificent.  Every detail in this ensemble compliments the other making it a truly exquisite find.  I know the Garter doesn't really show, but you have to know there is a gorgeous garter that matches this set, so hurry on over to the store and grab yours today!  So you too, can feel like a Christmas Angel. 

Everything came together for me with this dress.  The "Medea" skin from Poudre in the "Eyestain Gold" matched perfectly as did the "Bramble" hair from Spellbound; and I finally had a reason to use these STUNNING wings I got from DRD sometime last Spring in a gacha, so check the store. 

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week and remember random acts of kindness are truly what this season is about...  Even if it is just the simple act of rescuing a forgotten angel from your nearest Thrift Shop and giving her a purpose again atop your tree.  For in that one small act, you may very well warm the hearts of those around that tree, and possibly of those you have never met, that your donation feeds one very cold night.  Tthat is what your one random act or donation truly means.
