Caught bewitched, bothered and bewildered

Woke this morning to a chill in the air that truly felt a lot more like Winter than Fall, but up here in the mountains of Arizona, that happens this time of year.  The days reach into the 70's with the suns rays beating down at this high altitude to the low 40's or high 30's as the heat escapes during our clear nights.  Wake up in a sweater and by lunch you are peeling out of your layers to bask in the sun, and I wonder why I get sick in September and October of every year.  The cooler weather however is easier on my body and so I woke with a bit of energy today which meant it was time to get some work done!  Lone Wolf Studios has two new releases in the mainstore and there are also two other brand new gorgeous sets perfect for all your RP needs that will be featured in two hunts next month, so make sure you stay tuned!  I started this post specifically to do the eyes, but when I put them on, I was struck by the stunning blue and very mystical feel of the Electris eyes and decided to match them up with this adorable new ensemble from Flippant.

Flippant did an outstanding job on this ensemble from the texturing to the attention to details that brings the entire ensemble together.  The shoes have a wonderful retro feel to them, as does the boho styled tunic with intricate lace and lacing along the sides, collar and sleeves and you can find the leggings in all your favorite mesh body appliers as well as standard layers.  I already moved this into the "Jade" folder so next time you see me out and about don't be surprised if this is what I happen to have on!  As the light reflected off the windows in my home I realized I was feeling a bit bewitched lately, as you can tell from my posts and the eyes added to my very magical mood and of course, a tune started tumbling it's way through my head.  "Bewitched, bothered and bewildered, am I," fits my mood and I hope you feel the same way!  Have a wonderfully wicked rest of your day and remember to always stay true to your style and make today's fashion trends work for you!

"Tight rope walker feeling dizzy"

As many of you know I used to do my fair share of roleplaying but since I came over to Second Life I chose to not RP anymore, however, there are days when I want to toss on a costume and not be me for just a little while.  Heydra's newest release immediately put me in a bit of an edgier mood and suddenly the new wave, punk girl in me came streaking out of her hiding place!  In those teen years of finding who I was and what my style was, I might have dabbled in the punk look, including an 11 inch black mohawk so this ensemble today truly took me back to days of experimentation and dancing on the razors edge.  I will leave it up to your imaginations to figure out what that means, just know I had a blast running around the grid to some seedier locations last night and I might just be back again soon!

Needless to say, since music is often my gateway to inspiration, I hit youtube and started surfing through old favorite bands and stumbled across one I hadn't thought about in years.  Every day after cheerleading practice (with my mohawk in a ponytail) I would jump into my car to drive home and the radio would automatically go to the local "alternative" station where my friend Scott worked as a DJ.  At exactly 4:55pm a dedication came across the waves that simply said, "Hey Crash, keep it under light speed!  This goes out to you!"  And by the time I hit the back roads of St. Louis County I was flying to "Crash" by the Primitives.  Of course nostalgia set in a bit deeper and an old tune by the same band started tiptoeing its way through my grey matter and seemed a perfect song to accompany this post!  (So yeah, hit play down there!  Follow me back to the 80's)  

I know I have been a bit quiet the last couple of posts but I have been feeling much like a tight rope walker on a razors edge with my life and which way to go.  Transitioning from IMVU a year and a half ago to SL wasn't hard but, the learning curve when it comes to creating is HUGE!  So while I watched tutorials, talked to friends and listened I began to blog.  I have found my voice in that time and no longer feel like your run of the mill fashion blogger, which is exactly what I had hoped for when this all began.  In the back of my mind a dream formed that included me creating on Second Life and taking my hobby to a whole new level and making it a career.  It seemed a far off dream, but now, I stand on that tight rope, dizzy with happiness as I watch that dream become a physical reality.  For that reason you will all notice that I have cut my sponsor list down quite a bit to free up more time for me to create so that in the next few months I will be introducing you to a new creator and it will be ME!  I am incredibly grateful to all of my Sponsors and appreciate the opportunities each and everyone has provided me along the way.  The vast amount of knowledge I have gained from them is something I can never repay, but I hope by me moving forward they know I couldn't have done it without them.  The days as a lost "punk/alternative" kid and all of the lives I have lead that brought me to Second Life were all spent following a dream, with my head in the clouds.  It isn't always a bad place to be, because after all, dreams often do come true!

Dreaming of Summer Nights

The long, chilly winter nights are starting to take their toll on me, and I have started dreaming of those Summer nights that seem a distant memory at the moment.  Lucky for me, Bomshie must have been having those same dreams when the "Adalet" dress was created!  Once the ensemble was made, I just had to head on over to Baja Norte and indulge in my fantasies of balmy, breezy nights at the beach.

Looking for Redemption

Vogue's New Year New Trends events doors have been open for a few days and the fantastic array of new fashion trends and exclusive designs is calling your name!  I have been absolutely blown away by the offerings from this round and just had to show off the leather from LIKE Designs and Facepalm!

I am so in love with every piece of this ensemble that I don't even know where to start, so I will just start at the top!  LIKE Designs has released the "Addie Jacket and Shirt" exclusively for this round along with these magnificent boots.  The jacket mesh is very well made with no breaking when you move, and it comes with Hide/Show feature via the HUD for the tshirt to make it very versatile, and incredibly sexy!  The HUD is, INSANE!  Really no other way to describe the HUD for the jacket and shirt, adding to its versatility, as you can mix and match until your hearts content!  Facepalm has several new and exclusive releases for the event, including this wonderfully short and sassy mini!  I love the detailing on the front and the skirt fits very well without cutting into the backs of the legs as you walk.  Both items are a must for your wardrobe for 2015, and if you are in need of a new pair of sexy, stiletto boots then look no further!

DRBC @ Suicide Dollz!

It is the one year Anniversary of Suicide Dollz and if you haven't made it over to their new location yet, you are really missing out.  The new venue is ENORMOUS, which means all kinds of new decadent designers for us to see and get our hands on!  Oh, and make sure to peek around for the gifts and dollarbies in celebration of SD's birthday!  DRBC has their little place at this months event but it is FULL of new releases and special goodies just for the event!  When I saw the "Jade" Jumpsuit, I of course just HAD to try it out, and I only have fantastic things to say!  The textures are fantastic and so is the styling and mesh of this outfit!  Only part that broke when posing was a tiny spot on my foot, which...who cares about that!  The jumpsuit comes with a HUD giving you 8 different textures to choose from, making it a very versatile outfit and a MUST have in everyone's closet.  Might have made me a bit reminiscent of those days I spent on the back of a motorcycle, and a song started playing through my head, so I found a Motorcycle Club and went and had a bit of fun.

Seasons Change

One thing you can always count on in this life is change.  No matter how much we try to avoid it or run from it, change is inevitable.  Whether it be a friendship, a relationship or just the seasons.  As I wandered through the grid yesterday, I realized that while I wasn't looking, change had once again happened all around me.  The sims have turned from the gorgeous hues of Autumn to the cold, crisp tones of Winter.  The stark landscapes illuminated by the lights from inside where hot cocoa is made and families gather to celebrate the changing of the seasons and the upcoming holidays.  One thing that hasn't changed today though, is the fact that there are a number of events happening around the grid that you should go and check out!

Vogue's Fall Fest is in full swing, and if you haven't been by yet, you are missing an amazing shopping experience.  The sim is decorated for the seasons with over 60 designers bringing you new and exclusive items through December 1st.  And don't forget, each creator has a gift for 10L or under, even more of an incentive to run on over!  If I haven't tempted you enough, let me try again!

INVADER offers up this adorable Bear Hoodie in a variety of colors, and textures for you to pick from, and of course I just fell in love with the "Panda" version!  The hood fits perfectly over this hair, and I tried it with a few others and it is made quite well, leaving enough room for a lot of hairs to fit under it.  And of course, YumZ has released the "Nikki Solid Leggings" for the Fall Fest as well, and they fit PURRfectly under the hoodie!  I was quite pleased with the over all look, and just had to toss on my favorite "Cozies" socks from Reign to complete the outfit!

If you have seen my running around the grid lately, you have spotted this tattoo on my hands, which I just can't seem to stop wearing!  "The Last Flower" by Elska is available with a whole bunch of appliers currently at Sad November.  The details are perfect on the hand and wrist and are faded without looking unnatural.  Truly, my favorite tattoo I have found recently.  If you haven't discovered Entwined Hair yet, then you are missing out on a wonderful new creator.  The Rebeccah hair, pictured here, lies perfectly and I adore the color selections available, so hurry on over and pick yourself up a few new, stylish and current hairs!

Took a moment to bask in the fading light of the evening with a cup of hot cocoa at Nordan om Jordan.  The sim is absolutely gorgeous and I took some time to explore all the little paths and thoroughly enjoyed my stay, so wander on over and take a look for yourself.   The seasons are changing and a very busy time of year is upon us, it is time for everyone to take a deep breath and appreciate everything around them.  Embrace the change and hold fast to the thought that everything always changes, so that if today looks a little bleak, tomorrow may very well bring the change you have been looking for!

The Katie dress is available in several colors and the wedges go fantastically with each of them!  I love that the new mesh panels over system clothes are fitting so perfectly now.  I have been shying away for a bit as I hate fitting the panels and so many times they just do not fit smoothly.  The new mesh panels are AMAZING!  If you are still having trouble fitting them, here is a HINT!  If the panel is still visible from the side or you can see the edges, go into "Edit Appearance" and simply increase your tummy size, and VOILA, a perfect fit every time!  It took me a few tries to find this solution, but it does work every time.  Tried it on 3 different dresses by three different designers and every skirt panel fit perfectly!

Only a Busy Signal

Don't you just miss being able to take the phone off the hook and disappear for a little bit?  What I wouldn't give to have a "Do Not Disturb" sign for life.  With so many events and special sales etc happening on the grid, it is a busy time for everyone.  There is always one more phone call, one more post to do, one more event to attend, one more re-opening to make an appearance at and sometimes, you just want to leave the phone off the hook.

Vogue's Fall Fest has been going on for a couple of days now and if you haven't been by you really should!  Over 60 designers with new and exclusive releases for the event AND everyone has a gift available for a max of $10L.  So what are you waiting for?  More reasons to go?  Well then you are in luck because this amazing outfit is from Bougie.  The Affiance Leather outfit is available in several colors and it is very well made.  Textures are fantastic as is the attention to detail on the front and not to mention this is the ONLY mesh skirt panel I have ever found that fits PERFECTLY!    I was incredibly impressed and is one reason why I will be checking Bougie out more often!

A Heathen on Elm Street

Happy Saturday everyone, or well Sunday for most with as late as this post is!  Just wanted to drop another little post out to you all to show off this GORGEOUS top from Aterna-T currently at SL Vogue on Elm Street, which I just had to pair up with my favorite jeans from Heathenesque!  Speaking of Heathenesque, there are BRAND new Jeans and Tops coming to Suicide Dollz TOMORROW, so make sure to check them out!

This tube top from Aterna-T is an exclusive to the Vogue event, and I absolutely LOVE the pattern, and unlike many similarly styled tops, this one does not make my "assets" disappear!  I know part of him is hiding, but this watch from LUX, also on Elm Street, is ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!!!  Thank goodness he goes with most of my outfits!  If you haven't seen these sexy jeans, then you really need to run on over to Heathenesque and try them out.  The mesh is perfect and the textures are very well done, with close attention paid to the small details.  I really do love these jeans, because they offer just the right amount of tease without being over the top.  Just PURRRFECT in this kitty's eyes!

The Bling Hunt is ON!

Today is October 1st, do you know what that means?  The Bling Hunt started yesterday!!  So many sparkly goodies for you to grab for 1L, so what are you waiting for?  More teasers?  *winks*  Well here you go!  As you wished!  More treats from The Bling Hunt and all the information you need to GET YOUR HUNT ON!

The Bling Hunt is an opportunity to visit some of your favorite stores, and a chance to get to see places you might normally not wander into.  A perfect example for me, is this adorable top from SexZ and the yoga pants from Biddy for the hunt.  Though not made for each other, I thought the look made quite a statement!  The top fits quite well, and some may even be able to get away without having to wear an alpha, and these pants are just to die for, to be honest.  I love the fit, and of course the added "Bitch" when I walk away, just makes me grin.  The slink applier for the feet is perfect, which we all know, isn't always the case when it comes to appliers!  And of course, what is a bare belly without a little bling.  Scene brings us the gorgeous HUD run belly piercing that I just adore!  So hurry on over to LadyLuck, and the blog and grab all the info you need to get to hunting!

Lost in Thought w/7mad @ CSR!

A new round has started at Cosmopolitan Sale Room which means, there are all kinds of goodies for 70L or less except for CSR Exclusives.  7mad;Ravens brings us these fantastic rings, made for male Slink hands, however, they come with a resizer which makes them easy to size and move around.  Thank you for making them unisex, so we all can enjoy!!   Oh...I heard a little rumor....they make great bracelets as well!  Just a rumor though. *winks*

Get Your Hunt On!

Happy Sunday everyone!  I hope that you are all having a wonderfully wicked weekend!  Lots of events wrapping up today, and lots of new things starting soon!  If you haven't made it over to the The Thrift Shop, you have just a few days left, and the same goes for The Arcade!  Today is also the LAST day to pick up beautiful goodies at The Jewelry Fair!  And the ONE thing everyone should be getting excited about is The Bling Hunt which kicks off on the 30th!   The designers have been sending out their previews for the hunt and I am so very excited about the pretties!!! 

Today, I wanted to showcase this gorgeous dress from Sassy! and these FANTASTIC shoes from Heathenesque; both exclusives for The Bling Hunt!  The Celebrity dress is wonderfully textured and the mesh fits very well, hugging the curves in all the right places without any breaking through the alpha.  One of the things I noticed when taking photos of this dress is that it bends well, and the alpha was cut short enough to not make it an issue most of the time in poses.  Which of course, is always a PLUS!  I know I keep talking about them, but these shoes from Heathenesque have blown me away!  The detail is amazing, and they seem to sparkle as you move around.  The heel is perfect, and I have been looking for a great strapless set of shoes!  No woman should have a closet that doesn't include these shoes!  Perfect with a silver cocktail dress, or a lovely white outfit; the Bling sandals are an essential addition!  So get some tennis shoes on, check out the info on the site and GET YOUR HUNT ON!

The Season Fair! Opens 9/23

The Season Fashion Fair starts 9/23 and get ready to grab yourself some amazing goodies just in time for Fall!  -CH- Apparel was the first  box to hit my little blogger hands, so of course, it was the first outfit I put together. 

First of all, I absolutely ADORE this little fur jacket that comes with this outfit, which by the way, the Jacket, bra, jeans, and sneakers are all included with the Rich Chick outfit from -CH- at the event, which by the way, is also an EXCLUSIVE, so hurry over and grab this great Indian Summer/Fall outfit.  I was quickly drifting back to my favorite time of year back in the Midwest, with sunny days at the river, and chilly nights by the bonfire.

Curling up with friends and singing songs with a rusty guitar, missing a few strings, but the harmony always made up for what the guitar lacked.  The memories that fall evokes, are ones I cherish, as a little down home, is always good for the soul!  Which means, the Season Fashion Fair is the perfect place for you to start your Autumn shopping!  Want the look?  Hurry on over to the event! :P
