I went wandering and got lost at Hestium

It has been quite a long time since I opened up the world map and just picked a destination I had never heard of and hit "teleport" so I figured it was about time.  Lately I had been seeing posts on location at a place called Hestium, and knowing nothing about the location I typed in that word and headed on over.  Upon landing I was quite entranced, as instead of it being a region of rolling hills, meadows to stroll through or winding woods, you are surrounded by water and stepped terraces encompassing a quaint village.  Doves flutter above your head as the resident Corgi's greet you behind the gated walls and the soft melody of numerous fountains soothe the soul as you peek in the windows of this amazingly appointed location.  So do yourself a favor and head over and check it out for yourself, Hestium us a destination you do not want to miss!


I have to say I love blogging for AMARELO MANGA, and I am lucky to have been doing that for a bit now.  One of my favorite things about the store and the creator is that she releases a group of items with coordinating shoes, handbags and often sunglasses or other accessories that mix and match with all the current grouped releases.  This Spring and Summer, the Sandals, Bag, and Sunglasses can all be mixed and matched with the newest ensembles, making them incredibly versatile pieces for the remainder of the Summer.  The newest release, Carmela, is an adorable tank dress, with deeply cut sides giving a bit of side boob, which always adds a bit of sexy to an otherwise straight dress.  The dress comes in a variety of colors and patterns to choose from as well as sizing for Standard bodies as well as some of your favorite mesh ones as well, meaning you are sure to find your perfect fit, so head on over to the store today and check out the newest releases from the wonderful AMARELO MANGA!

Sweet Sun Tea and the buzz of the bees in the afternoon

Though I have been out West now since 1994, I will always consider myself to be a Southern girl at heart, and those who spend a lot of time around me could tell you the accent still kicks in and my kitchen seems to always be bubbling with some staple from the South.  I rather like it that way, for there is a certain pace that holds true in the South that I truly enjoy.  Those long, lazy, lovely days spent basking in the sun, or relaxing on the front porch swing with a glass of fresh sun tea in hand, and evenings full of lightning bugs, barbeques and secret kisses in the dark.  With the heat wave that has the West Coast broiling this week, my thoughts of course drift back to home and nostalgia has swept over me.  These terracotta tiles don't feel like home and I swear if I close my eyes, I can remember the sweet smell of honeysuckle still on the vine and the soft buzz of the bees singing on the wind.

The Hippie Life

As those of you who follow my blog know, I am a true Bohemian at heart.  So when I unpacked this fantastic new ensemble from BN Designs exclusively available at the current round of Sneak Peek that ends tomorrow. 


The "Hippie Life" top and skirt fit amazingly well with my Slink body though I did have to adjust my body fat a bit to keep the bootie under wraps.  I loved how the mesh moved when I was wandering around and I felt a bit like a gypsy Princess to be honest.  Don't be surprised if you find me out and about on the grid in this particular ensemble, so join me in the love of the Boho life and grab yours from Sneak Peek before it's too late!

Uber and Fifty Linden Fridays!

I decided to take a break this morning, and dig out from underneath all my blogging boxes and head on out to do some shopping for myself and just have some ME time.  Well, it was a brilliant adventure, if I do say so myself.  It is Friday, so of course, a faithful follower of the Fifty Linden Friday weekly event, I grabbed my notecard with my little list and headed on out to see what goodies I could get my hands on. 


First, let's talk about Glam Affair for a moment.  Every week Glam Affair participates in FLF and puts out one or two skins in different shades and sometimes a new jewelry piece as well.  One of the things I love the most about FLF is the ability to pick up a skin, shape or a hair for a discount price so you can truly get an idea of whether or not you like them!  I had previously not liked demos I had gotten from Glam Affair, but recently discovered I absolutely love them, and all because of FLF.  So if you aren't a member of the group then HURRY UP!!  You are missing out on wonderful items from various creators across the grid offered up for 50L EVERY week!  My second find for FLF were these STUNNING heels from ieQED.  They have two pairs of shoes up this week, the Ruby ones I am featuring and another Holiday inspired pair, so head on over and check out the offerings for FLF!

With the theme of Uber being "Vogue" I just HAD to head on over and check things out.  And I found this dress and corset from Valentina E, that literally had me standing there and staring for a quite awhile, to be honest.  Just a fantastic concept, and the pieces are unique and perfectly made and detailed individually, when put together it is just a truly epic look, as far as I am concerned!  Not to mention, I have a bit of an obsession with the moon, it might even be a nickname for me.  So when I set my eyes on this set from Maxi Gossamer, I HAD to own all the pieces!  The "Dream Happy Fairy Moon" collection features color change options, resizers and color options for the moon as well.  The earrings come in 2 different styles, the shooting stars, pictured here, and a simple Moon dangle to match.  And of course those shoes I picked up right before heading to Uber from ieQED were a perfect match and the ensemble was complete!
