In the days before I left for my little Christmas getaway I took this photo and had it all edited and ready to post when life jumped up and got in the way and I was unable to share it with you all. Since my return I have been dealing with health issues that have me feeling rundown and just blah! Today I decided to try and brighten my mood by coming into town so I could share this fabulous little scene with you all while the spirit of the holidays still fills the air.

It took me a few months to get into the boxes on Second Life that you can get for different things, and though I have tried a few at this point, I only have two continuous subscriptions at this point, including De(c)ocrate.  December's box was chock full of goodies for the Winter and they all happen to mix and match quite well with the Holiday Advent Calendar from CIRCA.  I hope you enjoy this scene as much as I do, since I haven't ever put my house back up!  Happy Shopping and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Create the perfect backyard oasis at The Home and Garden Expo!

I am burning the midnight oil, so to speak, tonight to make sure I have shown off all of the amazing creations available at the The Home and Garden Expo, which ends in just over 24 hours!  You have until midnight tomorrow to head over to this fantastic event, where you can feel good about doing a little home and garden shopping because with every purchase of donation items you are giving to the American Cancer Society!  What could be a better reason?  The Expo has officially raised almost 4 million Linden and they are hoping to make that incredible mark by the end of the expo, so hit those kiosks while out shopping and get us to that final goal.  I have spent evening creating a beautiful background oasis, with every piece, other than a couple trees coming from The Home and Garden Expo.  I think it's important to be able to relax when at home, whether in your favorite corner in your home, or if you are like me, I love being outdoors, whether in Second Life or in real life, meaning anywhere I reside you will find a hidden oasis.

Potomac Signature Homes has several incredible releases for the event including the Brookside Home, not pictured, that comes with a curving, stone path which accompanied The Wishing Well release, also from Potomac, quite well.  I love trees, and Dixie Dandelion has made my heart quite happy with their Spring Tree Grouping release for the event that come with and without daisies; and they made the perfect backdrop for my oasis.  Over in the gacha area at The Home and Garden Expo you will find a gacha from Enigma Designs for their Seasons Tree release, with the RARE having all the seasons.  Each one is gorgeous in its own right, so make sure to stop by if you are looking for great landscaping pieces for your home or photo sim.  What backyard oasis would be complete without a sparkling pool and deck?

Dragons are Too Seldom, Inc., otherwise known as DATSI Mesh has some amazing releases at the event bu I have fallen in love with this pool with deck, hot tub and chair, leaving enough room to add your own patio decor items as well.  DATSI has several pool chairs, inflatable toys and chairs to accompany your pool, and an inflatable kiddy pool too, making this the penultimate family backyard playground!  And if you are planning on doing any entertaining, then check out the magnificent releases from beYou World, who also happen to be a sponsor of The Home and Garden Expo.

Wonderfully chic for Christmas

As I sit and look out the window my view happens to be a bit short at the moment, since all I can see is white!  The snow has been falling off and on since Sunday night and apparently we are due up to 6 inches by the time day is done and another 6 tomorrow.  Which if I had put up a tree and was planning on spending Christmas here at home, it would be fantastic.  However, the holidays are down at my parents this year and my sister doesn't get off of work until late tomorrow afternoon.  So now I sit wondering if we are even going to be able to get down there for Christmas, which has me a bit cranky and preoccupied at the moment.  However, to brighten up my day I headed on over to Trés Chic to do a little retail therapy and see if I could lighten my mood a bit, and it worked!  No matter where I happen to end up for Christmas at least I will wonderfully chic!

This round of Trés Chic is full of outdoor and garden accessories as well as TONS of hair and some fantastic wardrobe pieces as well.  On Friday I had picked up this fantastic dress from Valentina E for Fifty Linden Fridays and I went to Trés Chic hoping to find something to toss over it to create the perfect ensemble and I didn't have to look very far!  This adorable, fuzzy jacket is by Mimikiri and comes in a wide variety of colors AND there is also a gifty in the booth which happens to be this jacket in Red, which as far as I am concerned, that is reason enough to head to the event!  But if you are still needing more incentive then check out these fabulous heels from Ricielli!  The Astrid heels come in the Fatpack at the event offering you 20 different colors via HUD with metal choices as well.  I love the v front on the shoes that actually looks a lot like a deer hoof, which I think is a brilliant touch this time of year, and I hope you do too.  As usual, MINA brings us a very well made, well textured hair available in the traditional MINA colors as well as different versions for Materials and not, making them incredibly versatile and well worth your Linden!  I love to decorate around my little home sim and when I saw these pieces from Shutterfield, I knew they would fit right in with the current decor around the land.  If you too are looking for a couple of vintage pieces to complete your home or store decor then make sure to check out this round of Trés Chic, you won't be disappointed!  I hope I have given you enough incentive now as this round is truly a lot of fun, and now that the crowds have died down hopefully you can get around easily as it can be a bit tricky when it nears capacity!

Prayers of Peace for Christmas

With all the turmoil going on in the world as of late a prayer I heard many, many years ago keeps finding it's way into my brain.  With it being Christmas I couldn't think of a better time to share it.  As most people know I am an incredibly spiritual person but I find dogma to be the biggest issue for anyone with religion.  So I offer this up with no particular God or faith in mind, just a prayer I put out there in hopes of peace around the world.

O Angels of God, from heaven so bright,

watching beside my children to lead them aright;

Fold your wings round them, 

and guard them with love; 

Softly sing songs to them of heaven above.

Windlight Winter Art Show and Showcase and unKindness decorate my Winter wonderland

The Windlight Winter Art Show and Showcase opened on the 7th at a wonderfully appointed venue featuring some of Second Life's best artists as well as creations perfect or the Holiday season.  I was delighted with the number of outdoor decorations available at the event because after decorating my home with snow and trees I was needing a spot to relax with friends and I found the perfect decor created by Park Place.  I grabbed several of the releases from the event and some of my Winter favorites from unKindness and created my own Winter Wonderland, come along with me and relax by the fire!

The Chair, Ottoman and Fire Table from Park Place are wonderfully textured and fit great in an outdoor setting and I just love the decoration on the Ottoman, its adorable.  Each piece can be picked up at the event and remember all or part of the proceeds go to Team Diabetes, which means you are getting great decor items and donating to a worthy cause!  Make sure to check out the links below for all your info about the event and about Team Diabetes!  

I loved this little setting so much that I grabbed the newest release from NoName and went and curled up watching the snow fall for a bit.  I LOVE this ski coat and turtleneck combination NoName has released, with it's amazing HUD we have all come to know and love, offering you several color options for the main jacket and all the detailing.  The ski boots come in different sizes, and have the fantastic NoName HUD as well, so you can match your boots to your jacket!  They also fit well with the leggings from Alaskametro completing my "Snow Bunny" ensemble.

Will you follow me into the sunset?

I am a tad bit behind this week, and I am not quite sure how that happened!  Other than a few days that seem to have gotten lost due to errands, and the last day of school.  But it is officially Summer Break for my son and I and guess what?!  I slept in today!  Oddly, he didn't, which I just find a little strange.  I vaguely remember peering at him this morning through sleep encrusted eyes at 7:22 am and him telling me he would see me later.  The cocoon I had woven myself into over night beckoned me back to deep sleep, and apparently I answered that call.  It is now after 9 am and I am bright eyed and bushy tailed!  I hope you are as well or this post is going to be a tad bit too chipper for you today!  I have been doing a bit of shopping lately, which means I am bringing you all kinds of new releases on the grid today.  I have to be honest with all of you, when I bought this fantastic hair from Mina for the newest round of FaMeshed, I knew I was going to be taking a pic in just undies, and what better pair to pick for you today than the new "Neon" boy shorts from HEYDRA.

The shorts are currently available at the main store for $169L and come in a wide variety of color combinations that, of course, comes with all of the latest appliers on the grid!  The shorts are well made with a great attention to detail including the elastic on the waist and the ADORABLE lil skully mouse on your rear!  Do yourself a favor and head on by the store today to grab your favorites!  

If you haven't made it out to the newest round of FaMeshed then you are truly missing out on an amazing round.  But beware!  Make sure you have your Linden stocked up because this round will eat them up!  Mina has been a hair favorite of mine since I came back last year, and I find I have picked up almost every hair release at an event that they have put out.  The Guusje hair is actually what brought me out to FaMeshed because I am always looking for a hair I can be sexy in without revealing too much.  The hair is available for both men and women and comes in different sizes for those of us who like to be a bit more well endowed and all the color packs you have come to love and expect from Mina.  Hiding a bit is also the wonderful new collection from Maxi Gossamer also only available at FaMeshed right now.  The Bohemian inspired "Esmeralda Gypsy Queen" collection is well made and as usual the pieces can be mixed and matched or worn alone.
