When I hear DeeTaleZ has released a new and semi-exclusive skin at Cosmopolitan I scamper over as fast as my tele will take me so I can add it to my collection.  And yes, at this point that is the only word that seems to fit with the sheer number of skins I have picked up over the last year.  I am a huge fan and as most of my followers can attest, you will rarely find me in any other skin.  I have tried many and I used to switch them up a bit but with mesh bodies, I returned to my first love.  If you are looking for a skin that doesn't show a break at the neck, or strange shading or if you don't want to mess with add-ons to "fix" the issue then pick up a Maitreya body and a DeeTaleZ skin and the appliers, which are incredibly reasonable and I bet you will rarely change your skin again, just your makeup!  One of the things you can count on from DeeTaleZ as well is that the skins at events are in makeups that won't be released again, for the most part.  I have found that when I buy an exclusive makeup version, I often head to the store to pick up the main one as well, it has happened on more than one occasion now and it is becoming a bit of a habit, but I can think of all kinds of worse habits than DeeTaleZ!    I love the freckles and soft makeup on Joice as well as the delicate, natural brows.  I have had people comment on my brows lately and I will let you all in on a little secret.... Lost in his headlights

I know everyone has had that moment when they are waiting for that special someone to pull up to the curb, or into the driveway to pick you up for a special night; and as the headlights track from your toes to your head, that sudden, self conscious moment washes over you just like the lights.  Tonight, as the lights flashed up the drive I felt almost bashful as my eyes rose to meet his.  Have to love those little moments that still make you go weak in the knees; whether it's a new love or an old one, those times are special.

Last night my best friend returned from a week long trip to California and as all of us know, road trips, when they end, you are REALLY happy to get back home and into the comforts of  your regular, every day life.  So this of course meant a couple bottles of wine were shared over great conversation with laughter as she told me of her adventures over the past week.  To keep myself productive while we rambled on, I jumped onto my platform to decorate a bit to make my pose props look a little bit more homey.  What's funny, is that she and I used to have these stars we hung from the ceiling that have adorned two of the homes we have lived in over the last decade.  So as I spotted my starts from Hideki from an ancient Gacha, I decided to pay a little homage to our years of friendship.  She will always be my supportive star, and I hers, it is just one of those things that happens in life that you don't really have an explanation for, but thank the powers that be everyday for their presence in your life.  I think, a lot of times we end up taking these "stars" for granted in our lives.  They are the ones that are always there, no matter the time that has passed.  A simple text or a call and you are right back to where you left off.  Like the stars in the sky of the Milky Way, these kinds of friends are eternal, infinite even.  Cherish them and always keep your stars polished with your appreciation of their presence in your life.

Recently I have been talking about the fact that I am truly a Bohemian at heart and today is a perfect example of a modern take on a Vintage look.  The utilitarian start of the modern jumpsuit comes from probably where you would assume it would, parachutists and race car drivers, but in 1919 a very fashion forward designer by the name of Florentine Thayat, who released it an avant garde, futuristic outfit to challenge the norms of dressing for women.  And that moment, started a long, creative and amazing trend that all started from a one piece garment with a belt and a few buttons or a zipper.  I found this fantastic article with great pictures depicting the evolution of the Jumpsuit over time, plus found a few more modern examples as well, as the article stopped at 2011.  If you are curious, and want more information then check out, "History of Jumpsuits: Then and Now."  One of the reasons I absolutely love Lush by CoCo is her attention to the most current trends on the runway including her SS15 Jungle Fury collection.  This jumpsuit is exclusively available at Designer Showcase right now, so make sure you head on over as you won't find this color combination in the store.  It is available in several color combinations with accenting heels playing towards the current trend of bold colors and patterns so I am sure you will find the perfect combination for this Summer.

Maui Dreaming

Headlights in the Driveway

 
Pacing the house, stopping for a moment to warm myself at the fire; as I wait for the crunch of your tires on the gravel driveway, knowing I could still hear that sound with the soft snow that covered the ground.  Pouring a glass of wine, trying to keep myself occupied as my thoughts start to drift as worry over takes me.  Those black, glassy roads now lightly covered with snow making them even more treacherous tonight.  Dialing your number again, only to have it go straight to voice mail.  Staring into the fire and grumbling, "WHY did we have to move out here to the middle of no where?!"  Lost in that thought a noise draws me from my well of worry as my eyes rise from the floor to the door where your headlights now shine through the dark.  Funny how the smallest things can make your day.

Shey Shines for Sneak Peek

It is the time of the month again when you get to take a peek into the most fashion forward trends on the grid before everyone else does because, you know the secret of Penumbra's Sneak Peek!  The doors opened yesterday with new and exclusive releases from a variety of the hottest designers on the grid. Today I bring you "Claudia" by Shey and the gorgeous "Safari" shoes from Lush by CoCo.

Lush Spring Preview

It seems just yesterday we were planning holiday parties and kicking off the New Year, and now suddenly here we are and February is right around the corner which means soon, VERY soon, the frost is going to start melting off the trees and the fresh, young blossoms of 2015 will dot the trees.  And if the cold has you hunkered down, and unable to even close your eyes and dream of the sun, then let the newest release from Lush by CoCo be your incentive!

The "Preview" jacket and "Denim" pants are Lush by CoCo's first release for 2015 and both pieces are a wonderful peek into the Spring of 2015's fashion looks!  The elegantly styled jacket has a great Nehru collar and notched bottom that is form fitting and fantastically textured.  The jacket is available in 4 colors for 200L each, and the "Denims" in Regular, Light and Dark for 175L, to mix and match with your favorite jackets and sweaters as we head into Spring. 

Just in case you haven't seen all the announcements or the blogs featuring the hairs, there is a new hair store on the grid that is making quite a splash!  No.Match opened up earlier this week with quite a few brand new hairs for you to go and check out!  The prices are quite competitive and the color packs are gorgeous, with a definite twist on the traditional combinations on the grid.  I picked up a couple hairs while I was there and just wanted to share them with you!  First up is "No Hunt."  The hair has wonderful face shaping tendrils and a long braid down the back.  It is offered for both men and women, as are many of their styles, so make sure to drag your man or bestie along with you to discover No.Match!

Moonlight Sonata

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend, and if you are avid football fans, then I know you are getting ready for the last two games today before the Superbowl!  I have Enchilada Soup going in the crockpot and plan on snuggling in and watching today with my son.  Before I headed off for the day I wanted to bring you a whole variety of new goodies available currently on the grid!  The amazing Xi Zane of Lush by CoCo has a couple new releases at the moment, but this gorgeous dress is currently on sale for 150L at The Designer Showcase.  The dress is very appropriately named "Slither" giving a huge nod to the fantastic snake skin texture on the dress.  The scales catch the light as you move making it a truly spectacular dress which I of course paired with the "MustHaves" heels in Slither Noir as they are a perfect addition to the ensemble.  If you haven't had a chance to go by the store make sure you do to see the newest releases for Spring and to start living your "Lush" life!
