I went wandering and got lost at Hestium

It has been quite a long time since I opened up the world map and just picked a destination I had never heard of and hit "teleport" so I figured it was about time.  Lately I had been seeing posts on location at a place called Hestium, and knowing nothing about the location I typed in that word and headed on over.  Upon landing I was quite entranced, as instead of it being a region of rolling hills, meadows to stroll through or winding woods, you are surrounded by water and stepped terraces encompassing a quaint village.  Doves flutter above your head as the resident Corgi's greet you behind the gated walls and the soft melody of numerous fountains soothe the soul as you peek in the windows of this amazingly appointed location.  So do yourself a favor and head over and check it out for yourself, Hestium us a destination you do not want to miss!

I have to say I love blogging for AMARELO MANGA, and I am lucky to have been doing that for a bit now.  One of my favorite things about the store and the creator is that she releases a group of items with coordinating shoes, handbags and often sunglasses or other accessories that mix and match with all the current grouped releases.  This Spring and Summer, the Sandals, Bag, and Sunglasses can all be mixed and matched with the newest ensembles, making them incredibly versatile pieces for the remainder of the Summer.  The newest release, Carmela, is an adorable tank dress, with deeply cut sides giving a bit of side boob, which always adds a bit of sexy to an otherwise straight dress.  The dress comes in a variety of colors and patterns to choose from as well as sizing for Standard bodies as well as some of your favorite mesh ones as well, meaning you are sure to find your perfect fit, so head on over to the store today and check out the newest releases from the wonderful AMARELO MANGA!

DRBC @ Suicide Dollz!

It is the one year Anniversary of Suicide Dollz and if you haven't made it over to their new location yet, you are really missing out.  The new venue is ENORMOUS, which means all kinds of new decadent designers for us to see and get our hands on!  Oh, and make sure to peek around for the gifts and dollarbies in celebration of SD's birthday!  DRBC has their little place at this months event but it is FULL of new releases and special goodies just for the event!  When I saw the "Jade" Jumpsuit, I of course just HAD to try it out, and I only have fantastic things to say!  The textures are fantastic and so is the styling and mesh of this outfit!  Only part that broke when posing was a tiny spot on my foot, which...who cares about that!  The jumpsuit comes with a HUD giving you 8 different textures to choose from, making it a very versatile outfit and a MUST have in everyone's closet.  Might have made me a bit reminiscent of those days I spent on the back of a motorcycle, and a song started playing through my head, so I found a Motorcycle Club and went and had a bit of fun.

My Breath of Life

Now we all know that typically, I am not a "Fantasy" blogger, however there are times that an outfit reaches out and grabs me; or I get a chance because of SL Blogger Support to attend Blogger Days for an event I might not normally go and check out.  A perfect example this week, is The Fantasy Collective.  On a typical week, unfortunately, it might get looked over, but with the preview that was given to SL Blogger Support members I got to take some time and stroll through the venue.  And what I found, blew me away, and created a post all on it's own, truth be told.  But then, who could resist this AMAZING ensemble from Wicca's Wardrobe.  The moment I laid eyes on this set, the location and entire blog post created itself in my head.  Enjoy!

Wicca has outdone herself with this creation for The Fantasy Collective.  The pieces fit well together and the textures and colors are all complimentary.  I was also pleasantly surprised that I could turn the glow off this collar piece so it didn't shine in the pictures!  The collar has attachments and the whole thing was incredibly easy to fit, with very few alterations!  The head piece could be worn to enhance other looks, but is just a wonderful, whimsical detail that I love!  So whether this is something that would fit in with your Roleplay scenarios, or if you just want to have an excuse to feel absolutely GORGEOUS, head on over to The Fantasy Collective and pick up your "Lunatica" gown and accessories by Wicca's Wardrobe.

Gone Fishin'

 The weather has infected me, to say the least!  Nothing sounds better right now than a long, lazy day out at the river, pond, lake or ocean.  Lazing in the sun with my feet up on the cooler, a book in my hands and my big floppy hat keeping the sun out of my eyes is my recipe for perfection today.  Lucky for all of us.... Fameshed, Coquet, Lode and Reign provided me with the PERFECT outfit!

Yes, I know my posts seem to have a lot of things from Fameshed, but it has literally become my go-to place for new, cute outfits and accessories.  Coquet is one of my favorite shops for my everyday looks, and these cute tops and peddle pushers are now a core staple in my summer wardrobe.  The "Cross My Heart" top comes in several patterns and colors, and comes with two alphas; one covers more, and the other less.  The "less" alpha worked perfectly for me without any shape adjustments!  The peddle pushers come in complimentary colors to the shirts and can be mixed and matched.  Zenith is putting out amazing pieces at the current events, including the Butterfly set at Fameshed.  Wander into the main store and take a look around.  They have very stylish, well made clothes and accessories and I have made a point to put them on my weekly rounds.

In case you missed it, Chapter Four is having their one year birthday celebration, which means, the creators spotlighted this month have put out little presents along the way.  Lode, does not disappoint with this adorable floppy hat!  It has a whimsical little ladybug on the brim and the sticks are a great added detail.  So make sure to run by and at least grab the gifties, even if you don't have the money to spend on all the other adorable things available this month.  Oneword, is an event I am not sure many people have heard of at this point, but I have made sure to join their group and to stay on top of the upcoming rounds.  The idea is that the creators are given one word for their theme.  This months theme is Vintage.  Pure Poison made a gorgeous vintage looking necklace with a stunning antique rose cameo and whimsical key.  One of the things that stood out the most at this round were the poses!  Rack Poses and //elephante poses// have great couples and singles poses available at reasonable prices.  Needless to say, lots of places to visit and lots of pretties to go gaze at this month!

Essentials at *COCO*

On one of my recent aimlessly wandering shopping trips in SL I stumbled into *COCO*.  Now, first things first... The mix of industrial, empty warehouse with their high fashion displays struck me as quite genius.  No time spent looking at the scenery or architecture, it is ALL about the clothes!

I am going to mention the freebies here because there are about 50 of them, and while most are not mesh, there are some nice staple pieces for everyone's wardrobe.  Fedora hats, boots, shoes, tanks, shirts, you name it, it is on the large wall in the rear of the store.

 Now, those are the gifts for all, the group gifts are a whole other wall and you can find a few pieces in this group as well.  So before even wandering up and down the aisles of displays, I had added quite a few things to my over stuffed closet.

I love outfits created to go together, it is easy... However, having good quality pieces is sometimes more important than having several different complete outfits.  The perfect basic t-shirt, Boho skirt, short pleated skirt, or tank with options of being tucked in or not, these are things I know I search for all the time.  And at *COCO* I was pleasantly surprised to find those items!   I chose two outfits that portray the versatile and undeniable style of *COCO*.
 

As the weather starts to clear, those legs of ours start to come out of hiding.  This pleated skirt is expertly textured and the mesh fits perfectly.  It comes in several colors and is one of my favorite finds, since it can be matched with a variety of outfits.

If you haven't had a chance to stop by this round of Kustom9, you really should.  I have picked up several pieces from there to mix and match and one of my favorite picks has to be the Recherche Heels from Mango Cheeks.  Featured here are the dark, in Slate.  They are not too blue, or grey, nor are they too dark.  I found them to go quite well with several different dark colors.

I have a confession to make, when I say wanderings, I really do mean that I go on adventures with no specific destination in mind and just roam around malls and shopping sims to see what I can find.  On a recent trip with a friend I literally stumbled into M.O.C.K Cosmetics and immediately found a new favorite place for makeup.  On the counter, is a box containing a gift for Easter, and the number 3 in the pack is what I am wearing here.  The attention to detail on the eyes here is amazing, and I will be returning soon to pick myself up a few more items.

This  dress from *COCO* has exquisite lace details that really cannot truly be appreciated until it is on the body.  The flirty flare of the skirt, and the hint at the chemise beneath being slightly off the shoulders, makes this dress very alluring.  Whether you want to dress it up, as I decided to here, or dress it down, it is a perfect Spring and Summer dress.  I am chomping at the bit for more shoes from Nineteen Ninety Two, and I know there are some at the events this month, but I have yet to run across them.  The Leighton sandals have a great heel and come in quite a few colors.and they don't come across as being a "dressy" shoe per se.  My watch and bracelet combo comes from Mandala and though a bit pricey, it is well worth the close to $700L.  I am wearing the complete version, in leather, but you can pick and choose how many bracelets you want to wear with it, or simply just the watch.
