Last night I went to bed in a pretty good mood so when this morning I woke up wanting to kill the world I was seriously surprised. So as most of you know, indulging the mood instead of trying to hide it is part of how I function. Music is playing with the volume turned up louder than normal with a lot of aggro songs in the current mix. I have no clue what set me off but it is one of those days I am angry at the world, though in all reality, it's no one's fault I feel this way. Apparently my chemicals got confused last night or I had a dream I can't remember that put me in this mood. Though I want to be around people at the moment, I don't think I would be very socially acceptable. I have a friend in Phoenix who used to say that I am funniest when I am bitter and ticked off, which still amuses me. Guess it's only that way if I have not targeted you as the cause of my mood. As the day has progressed, I have pinpointed WHO this venomous mood is directed at, but since the target in my mind I can never approach, the walls of my house will get the brunt of my anger today. However, as I write this I have started to smile, and maybe a bit of a bitter chuckle has escaped my lips since I know that this mood is truly out of place! For the first time in my life I am truly happy and secure in myself and perfectly content with the way my life is, which is something very new. I am enjoying the feeling and although the path I am on now was brought about by my heart getting torn to pieces a few years ago I am thankful for that pain. Out of pain and adversity came a strength in purpose and a dedication to myself and my soul. All the past, like dead leaves cluttered on the forest floor just needs to be blown away.

I know that everyone has been talking about the holidays and about all the cheer, and family and togetherness but many forget that there are people all over the world alone during the holidays, and with Christmas just a few days away, this has been on my mind. We all get caught up in our lives and what's going on, but we forget about the man who lives next door whose wife died last year, and whose children live on the other side of the country. What is he doing Christmas Eve? Or Christmas Day? Do you think his holiday is full of joy and cheer? See that lady sitting at the diner counter tonight? Every night she comes to sit at the counter and chat with the waitress and the cook, but what will she do when the diner is closed because they are all home with their families? I try and go out of my way during the coldest, darkest months of the year to bring a bit of joy to those who struggle to find it every day. Whether it's through a card, batch of cookies or an invite to dinner, I know that this tiny thing I do reminds these people that someone still wonders what is going on in their lives. No one has ever accepted Christmas dinner, but the smiles I have gotten with the cookies over the years keeps the joy in my heart even in the bleakest of times. I hope that this Christmas message strikes home and prompts you to say hello, Merry Christmas, or gets you to bake more cookies to be given to that older gentleman down the street who is missing his wife. Remember the greatest present you can give this year is the gift of true charity.

I don't get to delve into my artistic side very often with my blogging, but when I get the chance to I am truly in heaven! I know that gowns may not be the standard for attire on SL but there are many people who have occasion to wear them and I have fallen in love with many of the amazing creations designed for many of the competitions. Virtual Diva has grown incredibly over the last year since I have been blogging for her and the newest release for The Instruments is truly a stunning design. Hello everyone and Happy Tuesday! Sorry I have been away again, but I had to listen to my back and stay in bed for a few days just to get to the point of being functional again. The boxes are starting to pile up as are the notecard's wondering what I have been up too, so the only thing to do is get through it! The month of August is always full of birthdays for me, with 3 family members and some of my closest friends occupying the Leo and Virgo parts of the star chart, so later this week I will be taking off for a few days to relax with the family around the pool down the Phoenix way. Of course, before I take off I will make sure I have taken care of as many responsibilities as I can and when I return I am hoping a few days spent in the pool will help alleviate some of the back pressure so I can get back to work again! I cannot begin to explain how much this has put a cramp in my style this Summer. But, as the saying goes.... "Want to make God laugh? Make a plan!" That sums up my Summer in all reality so until my back puts me back on track, whatever plans I had for my future are on hold. Which means I will blog when I can and as often as I can and continue to provide you all with some insight into the fashion world on Second Life. I appreciate every single one of my readers and followers and love the feedback and support you all give me. I never would have imagined that a little blog about fashion on SL could become something so much more. It is a great feeling and trust me when I say that things have to be bad for me to stay away, otherwise I would probably overwhelm everyone with all of my thoughts!!!!
