All work and no play leads to Retail Therapy!

I absolutely love what I do; I love to blog; I love to be able to advertise for various and assorted stores on Second Life.  I love being a part of large events, especially those that happen to benefit causes near and dear to my heart.  Right now the SL 2015 Frozen Christmas Expo, a Relay for Life event is up and running on the grid with four sims full of goodies for you to get your hands on, and on the 7th I am very proud to be a part of the Windlight Magazine's Windlight Winter Art Show and Showcase with Team Diabetes, spotlighting some of the grid's best artists, along with creative designs from some of the grids hottest developers.  After heading over to that event for Blogger/Press day I went home and honestly, I was suddenly overwhelmed at the sheer amount of items I had gotten to blog, and humbled.  The fact creators put their trust in bloggers to showcase their designs in the best way possible is incredibly humbling, to me, especially for an event such as this.  But overwhelmed is truly  how I felt and I decided the best cure for that was a bit of shopping therapy to add to my everyday wardrobe.  A blogger's day is rarely spent in clothes they have chosen themselves, but that is part of being a blogger.  It is nice to have a section dedicated to just yourself where you can toss on something you went out and spent the time to find and not worry about representing a Sponsor.  All of the stores I blog for happen to make it into my daily wardrobe quite often, but heading out to current events to check out what else people are designing can be freeing.  After all, being a blogger is often a lot like being an actor, you put on a costume, create your set and put on the best performance you possibly can, which over time can be very stressful.  So when I feel like my performance would suffer I go shopping, after all my Momma taught me that retail therapy could fix almost anything!

Now I have to confess I had plans to go shopping this weekend because of this fabulous new jumpsuit from David Heather.  When I saw the ad I knew I would be making an addition to my wardrobe.  When the need for some retail therapy arose I tossed on my shopping shoes and headed on over to the Grand Re-Opening of The Dressing Room to pick up the pantsuit and to see what else had been released for the relaunch of the venue.  Although I didn't add many pieces, as I am incredibly picky when it comes to my daily wardrobe, I was thrilled to see this chic ponytail hair from ElikatiraQuinn comes in a variety of colors, and at the discounted price available only at TDR, there is no reason to not add this style to your wig closet, as my friend Anna calls it.

If you follow my blog you will know I have fallen in love with the Bogo set from Meva that was available last month at the Gacha Garden.  Due to the nature of that event I don't think this set will be available in the main store location but I have extras! You can find my fan page on Facebook at Just a Spoonful of Psycho, or inworld, JadedPanther Resident if interested in seeing what extras I have left.  Do yourself a favor if you are feeling like you can't put your best foot forward and spend a few Linden on yourself for a change and do a little retail therapy, I promise it's good for the soul.

Looking for Redemption

Vogue's New Year New Trends events doors have been open for a few days and the fantastic array of new fashion trends and exclusive designs is calling your name!  I have been absolutely blown away by the offerings from this round and just had to show off the leather from LIKE Designs and Facepalm!

I am so in love with every piece of this ensemble that I don't even know where to start, so I will just start at the top!  LIKE Designs has released the "Addie Jacket and Shirt" exclusively for this round along with these magnificent boots.  The jacket mesh is very well made with no breaking when you move, and it comes with Hide/Show feature via the HUD for the tshirt to make it very versatile, and incredibly sexy!  The HUD is, INSANE!  Really no other way to describe the HUD for the jacket and shirt, adding to its versatility, as you can mix and match until your hearts content!  Facepalm has several new and exclusive releases for the event, including this wonderfully short and sassy mini!  I love the detailing on the front and the skirt fits very well without cutting into the backs of the legs as you walk.  Both items are a must for your wardrobe for 2015, and if you are in need of a new pair of sexy, stiletto boots then look no further!

The High Tie boots for Slink High feet are stunning!  From the mesh to this HUD, these boots are just perfect!  Every part of the boot can be changed to mix and match with some of your most daring ensembles for 2015.  These boots are ONLY available at Vogue's New Year New Trends, so make sure to save some time and head on over before the doors close on February 4th!  Notice the HUD for the jacket is pictured above as well, giving you a clear picture of how amazing the boots truly are, and that they are a MUST in your 2015 wardrobe.

Have to give a little shout out to Rwah and the group of artists and builders over at Square Pegs in Round Holes.  The newest build over on the SIM is "The Lost Town", and around every corner, or through every doorway a new treasure awaits.  Take some time and head on over and wander around taking in the wonderful atmosphere and grab some pics while you are there, but of course you will, it just begs you to stay, relax, unwind and get lost!

Have a wonderfully wicked rest of your weekend and remember to always stay true to your style!

Shiver

Vogue Fall Fest will soon close its doors and sweep up the sidewalks while the staff of SL Vogue is starting to prepare for its next event.  That means you have just a few more days to run over and grab your exclusives from Fall Fest!

LaGeeny has several fantastic outfits available, but my favorite has to be this ensemble!  The sweater, top, pants and boots are all part of the outfit and each piece is exceptionally well made.  Great textures and wonderful use of color makes this an essential late Fall, early Winter addition to every closet!

I continue to be amazed by the gorgeous details of the skins from Poudre.  If you haven't gone by to check the store out and grab some demos, or pick up your favorite selections then you are truly missing out.  Ambra Hoxley takes the time to detail, highlight and shadow the skins, making each one unique and a must have.  I love the Ada Wolf skin collection because of the dramatic eyes and soft lips, which is a personal favorite.  And if you want to add liners and lashes, you can find them at Poudre as well, I however, love the skins in their raw bare form.  There is something very sexy and playful about them just the way they are.  Hurry up and head on over, it will be well worth your time!

Have a wonderfully wicked rest of your night and Thursday!  Remember, fashion is all about finding your style and making it work for you!  Not about following the latest trend just to be fashionable!
Style is timeless, fashion is ever changing!

Stalking Prey

Well, we have officially passed the midway point of the month, which means Thanksgiving is RIGHT around the corner and the month of December is knocking on the door.  This also mean, the Fall Fest from SL Vogue will be closing its doors soon and sweeping up those sidewalks.  Which means, you don't have very much time left to TELE on over and have a look at the amazing venue and grab your exclusives!  &Y is a new creator to me, but I have to say I have loved every outfit I have been given to blog from the store!  If you are like me, the radio is always on in some part of the house, which means "Animals" from Maroon 5, is playing quite often.  I have become a tad bit obsessed with it, and this particular outfit seemed to SCREAM for it!   I love the fit of this dress and the boots are to DIE for, honestly!  And it takes a bit to really make me happy when it comes to a tall boot.  Felt a bit like a business woman who had slipped into her favorite boots after work to hit the bars with the girls!  Hmm...that sounds like a brilliant idea!  I am grabbing my favorite pair of thigh highs and heading on out, you should go grab yours tonight!

Autumns Final Triumph

Some say that Autumn is the time of year when everything starts to die and the landscape takes on the gloomy hues of Winter, but right now, peeking through the first snows, is the proof that Fall is truly the final triumph of the year for the trees that surround us all year long.  The desperate saturation of reds, oranges, yellows and dingy browns blowing through the air and crunching under our feet; the brilliance of Mother Earth's palette visible for all to see.  This fabulous shirt by .&Y and bootcut jeans by Bomshie are exactly the kind of outfit for these days marked by chilly nights and warm days, both currently available at Vogue's Fall Fest.  The Frill Ribbon Blouse comes in several colors but of course, this panther just had to pick this print!  Plus the color combination was exactly what I was wanting to show you tonight!

Can't Stand the Rain

I can't stand the rain
Against my window
Bringing back sweet memories

I can't stand the rain
Against my window
Just keeps on haunting me

Hey, rain
Get off my window...

(This redhead has OTHER plans)

Whatever fool said redheads don't look good in pink must have never been stunned by the often quite deadly combination.  The new group gift skin from Poudre, "Nicki Rising", offered me a perfect opportunity to show off why redheads are truly, pretty in pink!  And, I might have needed a pick me up, that rain, after all was a tapping on the window a bit too loudly, which of course led to some shopping therapy!  The newest round of Collab provided the perfect outfit for me to accessorize with some of my other fantastic finds this month!  Baiastice offers up this great caged top, which conveniently fits perfectly without an alpha, and skirt in a huge variety of colors and patterns, so make sure to go by and grab what you love most!

A new round has opened at Cosmopolitan Sale Room and there are tons of new goodies at FANTASTIC prices for you to get your hands on!  7mad;Ravens has released the "Prime" collection for CSR that come in different colors and patterns.  The bracelets are unisex and come with a resizer so they are quite easy to fit.  Last round of CSR brought these fantastic shoes from Hilly Haalen, so make sure and check the store!  Last month, GizzA released this amazing jewelry set for La Metallique Fair from L'Accessoires.  The event has come to a close, but I am sure you will find  information at GizzA about the set.  And if you have managed to avoid The Thrift Shop, STOP IT!  Hurry on over and grab yourself one of the adorable "Promise" rings from Geek.  I was thrilled to get the Rare and just had to show it off!  The rings are absolutely perfectly designed and bring a wonderful feel of whimsy to my wardrobe!

Little Bit of Devil.....

So since I was up late last night, I was out wandering around and suddenly noticed a sign I hadn't seen before, or well, maybe I just didn't pay any attention.  But anyway, here is this sign that says "Lazy Sunday", so I joined the group and went on a little journey around the grid to some of my favorite stores, and to some places I had never heard of.  Suddenly, I was grabbing items for 79L or under and finding some wonderful things!  The Plastik, whose nail appliers I happen to wear quite often has a whole collection of outfits for the Lazy Sunday sale, called Clara.  I was blown away with the number of dresses and mix and match pieces in this collection, so hurry over and grab yours tonight!  But, the greatest find, at least for me, is this FANTASTIC skin from Flounce.  "Lilly Peachy" comes with Slink appliers for hands, feet and the Physique.  The makeup is quite lovely and the skin is smooth and very well detailed all for 75L or under.  Trust me, it is worth taking up a group space and scrambling to get these pieces this week, before the clock strikes midnight!

Now, I know everyone is as overwhelmed right now with events as I am, but there is one coming up that you MUST save your Linden for, The Thrift Shop opens in THREE days!!!!  And two of my favorite creators are sponsoring the newest round; /heathenesque/ and 7mad;Ravens!  If you haven't dropped by the stores yet, do yourself a favor and check out all the previous releases, like these gorgeous leather pants from 7mad!  The hud offers a variety of colors and they have a fantastic fit!  Especially from behind! *winks*  And if you missed them, go grab the Devilicious heels from /heathenesque/ as soon as The Thrift Shop opens!  The heels come in red and black with amazing details of horns and a tail!  Rumor has it, they might be at The Thrift Shop at a discounted price so remember to mark your calendars!!!!  After all, every angel, needs a little devil in her life!  Since this ended up being a post about my favorites, I threw in some of my other fabulous finds at the current events on the grid!
