Headlights in the Driveway

 
Pacing the house, stopping for a moment to warm myself at the fire; as I wait for the crunch of your tires on the gravel driveway, knowing I could still hear that sound with the soft snow that covered the ground.  Pouring a glass of wine, trying to keep myself occupied as my thoughts start to drift as worry over takes me.  Those black, glassy roads now lightly covered with snow making them even more treacherous tonight.  Dialing your number again, only to have it go straight to voice mail.  Staring into the fire and grumbling, "WHY did we have to move out here to the middle of no where?!"  Lost in that thought a noise draws me from my well of worry as my eyes rise from the floor to the door where your headlights now shine through the dark.  Funny how the smallest things can make your day.

She's So Fancy!

All you urban fashionistas I know have been by Vogue's New Year New Trends event already and have picked up a few things, but if you haven't or just in case you missed these exclusives from Deceitful Innocence, Glo and Zhora Designs I will make sure you have a few more reasons to head on over to Vogue's newest event! 

Deceitful Innocence delivers perfectly again for their name with this gorgeous Top, Skirt and Heels ensemble, appropriately named "Lady in Latex."  The skirt is very well made with a wonderful attention to detail.  I love the daring drape on this tank which has a wonderful chain halter and the color combinations.  The pattern is fresh and the colors are very indicative of the Spring season that is just around the corner!  I paired it up with the Enchanted Collection from Glo in Blue, also an exclusive for the event.

Zhora Designs brings a very sexy and sultry outfit to Vogue's New Year New Trends with the "Clelia" outfit.  The ensemble includes System layers for upper and lower, Bracelets, Collar, Shoes and Stockings along with appliers for Slink Physique, TMP, Brazilia Doll, Belleza, Omega, BANNED, Lena, Tango, BOOTY, and EVE.  I have not settled down and bought myself a mesh body yet, so I am wearing the system layers with the Slink stocking applier.  If curious about how to give yourself an actual shape without investing in a mesh body, then drop a notecard to JadedPanther Resident inworld, and I will give a few pointers.  I do not share my shape, as it has taken me literally a year to be happy with it but I can give suggestions on how to be slim and sleek, and yet still have those lovely curves!  I love the elegance of the collar and bracelets combined with the sexiness of the bodysuit.  Both outfits pictured above, AWEAR's hair and the jewelry are only available at Vogue's 2015 New Year New Trends event until February 4th.  Hurry on over and make sure to get a head start on the New Year with fantastic designs from some of the grids most fashion forward designers!

Home for the Holidays

Deceitful Innocence, what a wonderful store name, conjures so many images in the mind.  And then when I unpacked the box the image was complete and I was delighted to get to put together a rather "Lolita-esque" ensemble!  The "Arctic Cutie Coat" is currently an EXCLUSIVE at Arctic Blast, from SL Vogue.  The fit on this dress is absolutely perfect, with no breaking in any of my posing, which of course is always a plus in my book!  The 1950'sish Powder Blue Coat with Lace and Frills is expertly detailed with an attention to great detail in the textures.  But, the name of the store inspired the rest of the ensemble.

I just HAD to pull out these FANTASTIC boots I picked up at Frozzen, from Shey.  The fit is amazing on these boots for Slink High feet, and the HUD is just INSANE!  I am pretty sure I counted at least 30 different color combinations and I haven't been this happy with a personal purchase in a very long time!  So hurry on over and grab your own!    Did you SEE those adorable butterflies?!  Alchemist has a Gacha at Arctic Blast so make sure to drop by, because these butterflies are truly a gorgeous creation.  They come in 2 varieties, Fractal and non, with the Fractal pictured here.  Arctic Blast runs from TODAY until the first week in January, so don't wait too long or you will miss out!  And to top the whole thing off the delicately detailed, but stunning "Angelica" skin, from Glam Affair and one of my all time favorite hairs from Truth from the September round of The Arcade!  This is the Rare Sushi version, obviously MINUS the Sushi and Sakura flowers.  If you happen upon this hair at a yardsale, grab one!

Vogue Fall Fest will soon close its doors and sweep up the sidewalks while the staff of SL Vogue is starting to prepare for its next event.  That means you have just a few more days to run over and grab your exclusives from Fall Fest!

LaGeeny has several fantastic outfits available, but my favorite has to be this ensemble!  The sweater, top, pants and boots are all part of the outfit and each piece is exceptionally well made.  Great textures and wonderful use of color makes this an essential late Fall, early Winter addition to every closet!

I continue to be amazed by the gorgeous details of the skins from Poudre.  If you haven't gone by to check the store out and grab some demos, or pick up your favorite selections then you are truly missing out.  Ambra Hoxley takes the time to detail, highlight and shadow the skins, making each one unique and a must have.  I love the Ada Wolf skin collection because of the dramatic eyes and soft lips, which is a personal favorite.  And if you want to add liners and lashes, you can find them at Poudre as well, I however, love the skins in their raw bare form.  There is something very sexy and playful about them just the way they are.  Hurry up and head on over, it will be well worth your time!

A Modern Vintage

I love these shoes from Bens Boutique, that came with an outfit at Vintage and Cool a couple of months ago.  So check the store to see if they are available outside the outfit.  I have recently discovered Lumae skins, and I have to say I think they are wonderful!  The skins are reasonably priced and the appliers are only 99L for each skin tone, and I mean ALL appliers!  I found them through the Lazy Sunday group, as I have found a lot of other creators that I had not known of before, or hadn't had the chance to try yet because honestly, paying full price scares me sometimes when it comes to skins.  Yes, I know demos are great and everything, but we all know that often times the demos only come with one example, and you don't get a chance to see the WHOLE product, so getting to pick up a skin from someone you haven't tried before for 75L or under, is FANTASTIC!

Alchemist @ Vogue Fall Fest

Hey, did you know there are some wonderful offerings from Alchemist at Vogue's Fall Fest?!  Well if you haven't been by, or happened to think it was just a wonderful display, then you need to make sure you check out this Fireplace Hearth Collection!  The Fireplace actually has a stove pipe that fits outside as well.  Which is a great detail and makes it perfect for ANY winter cabin.  The Collection comes in 3 different metal choices for you to choose from, including the gate and utensils.  I happened to pick up the tree and pillows collection at a recent Fifty Linden Friday and just thought they went together perfectly!  As well as the wonderful Mini Winter pieces from Half-Deer.
