"You were only waiting for this moment to arise...."

We all know I am a lover of music and that I quite often put them in my posts to either add to the mood, or to simply put words to my feelings; since sometimes I can get a bit jumbled.  On occasion a song will implant itself in my brain and won't go away, which happened yesterday when I was setting up the patio at my home with these wonderful new goodies from unKindness.  I finished the photo and went to write and I couldn't get what I considered an inappropriate song out of my head, so I put it away hoping I would wake with a new perspective or at least a new song!  No such luck, but after the evening I had, I decided the song was VERY appropriate in regards to me!  Eight years ago the wonderful man in my life and I started this journey, though we drifted apart for a time, life led us back to each other and though very familiar, it is all new and fresh, which is making it quite exciting, to be honest.  As I sat waiting for him last night on this bench, that melody continued to dance it's way through my mind, and I realized I had been waiting for this very "moment to arise, to spread my wings to fly"!

Blackbird
The Beatles
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise.
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to be free.
Blackbird fly Blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.
Blackbird fly Blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise.

The NightingGale Bench and Flower Power Pillows are exclusively available at the current round of The Fantasy Collective which opened yesterday at noon!  The pillows can be modified, as I have done in the picture, meaning you can place them where ever you like to create your own special outdoor seating area.  The bench is incredibly well detailed with a gorgeous Nightingale adorning the back, perfect for any outdoor setting, or a wonderful rustic addition inside as well, so do yourself a favor and head on over to the event today!  By the way, if you have been looking for the perfect stone patio for your home or photo sim, then head over to Trompe Loeil and check out the Dardon Stone Fireplace and Patio Kit.  It comes with the walls, which can be modified, a fountain, fireplace, nook, end caps and the stone floor, all at an amazing price!  You can create any size of terrace needed or wanted with these pieces and I am absolutely thrilled with my little hideaway, as I am sure you will be with yours!  Welcome to Spring everyone, it's that time of the year to head outdoors and create new and amazing outdoor spaces!

Telling the story of the divine feminine through the hypnotic roll of her hips

I have always been fascinated by the story of Salome and her dance of the Seven Veils; of how some say Christianity grew quickly in some areas because of the overly righteous and pure men of power who couldn't handle the brazen sexuality displayed in the dance of their culture and how the mystical allure of a dance celebrating women's power became known as the dance of the Jezebel, the "whore".  I love that in the past decade belly-dancing has once again been noticed by people all over the world as an art from requiring intense dedication and creativity.  To dance the dance of Salome and Jezebel is to bring forth the inner power of the divine feminine; to celebrate what it truly means to be a woman through a wonderfully emotional and evocative dance.
"The Gypsy Dancer appears to be free from the societal constraints. The Gypsy as the Wild Woman archetype has magical powers, powers which make her dangerous. She is out-of-control, or at least beyond the control of the patriarchy. She evokes fear, especially in the subconscious where the Wild Woman lurks within us all. We are afraid to let her out because we may loose control." - Laurel Victoria Gray

"Do you know what happens when an Arabian woman dances? She does not dance: she protests, she loves, she cries, she makes love, she dreams, she goes away from her reality, to her own world, where love is really meant and she does not want to come back, because that is her reality."Armand Nassery, writer and filmmaker

Needing to take a bit of a time out in my inspirational corner

I don't know about most of you but I use Facebook for the majority of my promotional work for my blog as well as for the shop I work for, and the last ten days have proven frustrating.  Apparently someone can report you for spam and Facebook just blocks without researching, which means I have had a whopping two whole days of being able to share posts in groups.  I am so frustrated at the moment that I honestly am having a hard time finding my creativity.  Luckily for me I started designing this space prior to my annoyance, which means I have a gorgeous spot to sit, breathe and relax while I try and come up with some solutions for the issue currently at hand.

As the month comes to a close in a few more days, so do many of the months events as well, which means you better get on your shopping shoes and head on out before it's too late.  This gorgeous bench is from unKindness as well as the iron wall pieces and you can only find them at the current round of The Liaison Collaborative that ends on the 30th.  The Old World Patio Bench comes in PG and Adult versions and has a LI of only 3, and the art pieces only 1LI meaning they can be added to any décor without harming your land prims, which is always a plus in my book.  And if you are looking for another light source for your home or garden then make sure to check out the Lovelace Indoor Trees, also from unKindness, at the Wayward Winter event.  You have four different sets to choose from, and each set comes with two trees, one with lights and one without.  If wanting to get your hands on any of the goodies pictured here then check out the details below and happy shopping!

These walls have seen blood, sweat, tears and dreams come true.

If the walls could talk in a young girl's bedroom oh the stories they would have to tell.  Imagine the girl whose father put up a ballet bar when she put on her first pair of toe shoes with dreams of the Paris Ballet.  The hours spent practicing and dreaming as she thumbs through post cards from France, or reads her books or studying every move of the Prima Ballerina of her time all witnessed by the walls of her room.  Every where you peek inside this private space a piece of her dreams is revealed by the knick knacks around the room and most obviously by the practice bar that seems to be the center of her world.  The blood, sweat and tears from all the hard work paving the way to her dreams.  That is after all, the lesson learned as we enter adulthood, hard work is the key to everything, especially when reaching for the stars!  Stop wishing and hoping your dreams come true, and put a little effort in, the rewards will be well worth your blood, sweat and tears.

I don't know if it's just the time of year but so many places are looking for Home and Garden bloggers that I have spent the past few days busy filling out applications and checking out stores.  Along the way I discovered a few new places to shop and kept seeing new items at events, mostly Lost & Found.  There isn't a word in the English language that I know of to describe the amount of cuteness at this round of Lost & Found and I just broke the bank on my latest visit.  The adorable vintage drawer décor set featured here is the newest creation from the minds at unKindness and comes with the lamp, drawer seat, drawer pillow storage, and two stacks of pillows, one with lace and one without.  This collection can only be picked up at the current round of Lost & Found which is where you can also find the vintage heater and radio which are two of my favorite additions to the house right now.  They are both perfect for the shabby chic look that I love as well as able to fit in with most décors with the numerous colors available, so go grab yours today!  I recently heard about a new home décor store called Knick Knacks and I wandered by the store at the Cosmopolitan Mall, checked out the flickr photos, and ended up at Shiny Shabby JUST to see what I could collect from the Rappelle toi de Paris gacha at the event.  Though after quite a bit of linden I still didn't pick up a rare, I was excited to get my hands on a couple Uncommon pieces, which made my heart happy.  Ever since my first trip to Paris when I was just 18 I have wanted to return, and at points in my life the idea of running away there has crossed my mind, so this room has a special place in my heart as I think my dreams of Paris are becoming to high to reach, but that is what dreams are after all, the star just out of our reach, so I think I might just grab a ladder!

The Wild One

I am feeling a bit fierce tonight in this fantastic new release from Lush by CoCo currently at The Designer Showcase.  The Furry Vest comes in 4 different textures and is ONLY 150L right now!  The fit on the vest is perfect, and runs a little big which it is always nice to wiggle into a smaller size, now isn't it ladies?!  I paired it up with the Silk Leggings from LRD's "Gossip" release currently at Sneak Peek because I just loved the look!  And who wouldn't feel a bit fierce in Belleza's newest release, "Eva" at Uber.  The selection of makeups to choose from almost made me go for the Fatpack for this skin, but unfortunately my Linden amount would not.  So I picked up my favorite and I am a very happy girl!

Lost Goddess

So far from home, so lonely and terribly lost; the Goddess of the Moon wanders the ice covered lands longing for the gardens of home.  Her eyes turn to the heavens as the Aurora's magnificent lights dance above her head, praying to the Ancient Ones to free her from the land of ice and cold and return her to mystical gardens in the Heavens.

I was inspired by this stunning tattoo from Little Pricks, and wonderful outfit by May's Soul to do this post featuring my wonderful sponsor ~Crow~If you haven't been over to the store yet, here is just one more reason to head on over this week!  Mattie Rae of ~Crow~ is having a Black Friday sale!

My Breath of Life

I was looking for a breath of life;
A little touch of heavenly light
But all the choirs in my head sang "no"
To get a dream of life again
A little of vision of the start and the end
But all the choirs in my head sang "no".

But I needed one more touch
Another taste of heavenly rush
And I believe; I believe it so...
And I needed one more touch
Another taste of divine rush
And I believe, I believe it so...

Now we all know that typically, I am not a "Fantasy" blogger, however there are times that an outfit reaches out and grabs me; or I get a chance because of SL Blogger Support to attend Blogger Days for an event I might not normally go and check out.  A perfect example this week, is The Fantasy Collective.  On a typical week, unfortunately, it might get looked over, but with the preview that was given to SL Blogger Support members I got to take some time and stroll through the venue.  And what I found, blew me away, and created a post all on it's own, truth be told.  But then, who could resist this AMAZING ensemble from Wicca's Wardrobe.  The moment I laid eyes on this set, the location and entire blog post created itself in my head.  Enjoy!

My wonderful sponsor, Crow, continues to impress with her more gothic/fantasy themed skins, and what a perfect opportunity to show off one of my favorites.  The Sophia skin comes in several tones, all influenced by the moon.  Featured here is the Crescent Moon version, with one of the several makeups, and a lipstick from the multitude of choices!  If you haven't been over to the store yet, you really should wander on over.  New Group Gifts arrive quite often, and make sure to take a bite out of the Lucky Cupcake and see what you are awarded!

Wicca has outdone herself with this creation for The Fantasy Collective.  The pieces fit well together and the textures and colors are all complimentary.  I was also pleasantly surprised that I could turn the glow off this collar piece so it didn't shine in the pictures!  The collar has attachments and the whole thing was incredibly easy to fit, with very few alterations!  The head piece could be worn to enhance other looks, but is just a wonderful, whimsical detail that I love!  So whether this is something that would fit in with your Roleplay scenarios, or if you just want to have an excuse to feel absolutely GORGEOUS, head on over to The Fantasy Collective and pick up your "Lunatica" gown and accessories by Wicca's Wardrobe.
