It's All in the Details

This past Saturday happened to be my real life birthday and when I logged in, I found a stack of boxes from my wonderful best friend who managed to hit the Tag! Gacha Event and grab me lots of goodies, including this absolutely STUNNING ensemble from Les Petits Details, including the Rare and Mystery prize!  I won't give that away quite yet, but count on another post before Wednesday that will let you have a peek!  LpD never disappoints when it comes to attention to detail.  Every piece of the "Circus" gacha is well thought out and designed, making every piece a MUST HAVE for your Spring and Summer 2015 wardrobe.  I might have given her a tiny wishlist though for the event, which of course included this GORGEOUS new hair from Olive!

"The Darling" hair from Olive comes in wide variety of color packs to choose from, including the Dark Fades, which happen to include a few dark blonds, as pictured here.  I love the classic, Hollywood style of this hair, especially during the more revealing times of the year.  Do yourself a favor and make sure to head on out and check out the Tag! Bohemian Nights

Happy Friday everyone!  I hope you all have had a wonderfully wicked week and are heading into an even more decadent weekend!  The Bohemian in me was so excited when I opened the box from ECRU with their goodies from The Thrift Shop!  I found the PURRFECT Valentine's dress, shoes and accessories for my romantic night out tomorrow!

The Thrift Shop is open for a couple of more weeks if you want to get your hands on the two new and exclusive items from ECRU.  The "Nara" dress comes in two different texture HUDS meaning you are sure to find your favorite combination, or pick up both HUDS for a HUGE discount for the duration of the event.  The "Bohemia" jewelry set is made to compliment the dress, meaning the Texture HUD's match for both pieces, so make sure to grab the matching jewelry as well.  These fantastic "Vogue" stilettos are not an exclusive but also come in matching colors to the HUDS for the dress and jewelry.  The mesh on this dress is just amazing and the alphas are cut very well, though the textures do come with the outfit in case you need to alter the alpha for any reason.  I loved that the dress didn't cut into my thighs as I walked or posed, which is often an issue in a short slim fitted dress.  I think this dress should hang in everyone's closet as it is very versatile and just gorgeous!  Head on over to The Thrift Shop to get yours today!

If you all have been paying attention, I have fallen in love with Glam Affair skins over the past few months, and the "Ellie", the exclusive for Uber this round, is no exception.  The delicate makeup and highlights are truly stunning and I love that I don't have to add cleavage to make the skin look better when wearing dresses that should show a hint of cleavage.  So head over to the event and grab a demo or just head to the store and fall in love like I have with their amazing skins!

Shey Shines for Sneak Peek

It is the time of the month again when you get to take a peek into the most fashion forward trends on the grid before everyone else does because, you know the secret of Penumbra's Sneak Peek!  The doors opened yesterday with new and exclusive releases from a variety of the hottest designers on the grid. Today I bring you "Claudia" by Shey and the gorgeous "Safari" shoes from Lush by CoCo.

2015 Chic

I hope everyone had a wonderfully wicked New Years and that you all stayed safe!  It was a wintery, cold and snowy New Years Eve up here in the high country of Arizona so stayed home and had a little get together with friends, which was a perfect way to ring in the new year!  After taking a little bit of time off to see friends and family I am back for my first post of the year! 

Sneak Peek opened up on Christmas Day and will close its doors on the 5th, which means you don't have much shopping time left!  Loovus has released this gorgeous jacket and skirt combination for the event which comes in several colors that I decided to mix and match for you.  I loved the fact I could combine the jackets with different skirts and have the colors compliment each other.  The fit on both pieces is just perfect and neither piece broke while posing!  This is a perfect professional look or can very easily be dressed up for a great night out with that special someone, so hurry on over to Sneak Peek and be chic for 2015!

London's Calling

Today as I tossed on some goodies from We Love to Blog I suddenly had a memory triggered from years ago when London Fog used to have really eye catching, fashionable commercials.  I used to love the foggy, urban location shots they used of London and knew exactly where I needed to take the shots I wanted, London was calling!

Center Ville has been releasing all kinds of new goodies lately, including this stunning skin and fantastic dress.  Which, since it was snowing in London, I tossed on the new Tallia Coat from CH.  The dress is a mock turtleneck short sleeve with a thick belt and great short skirt.  The fit is fantastic and the mesh moves well when strolling around.  The jacket comes with an alpha to hide your arms and the mittens are built in, so make sure to take off your Slink hands for the perfect fit!  Center Ville's newest skin, "Eloc" comes in 4 shades and is truly stunning.  The details are perfect and I have to admit I have been wearing it pretty frequently, as of late.  Do yourself a favor and head on over to the store and grab your favorite shade, and of course make sure to check out all their fabulous new releases as well!

Now let us take a moment to discuss these fabulous new shoes from Shey!  I noticed a post yesterday on Facebook and just had to go check it out!  Shey has released the Sweet Bow Stilettos on the Marketplace for $30L!  Yes, only THIRTY Linden!  The shoes have 35 different colors via HUD and the details on the shoe are wonderful.  These are not the only specials on the MP from Shey, so check out the MP link, or head on over to the store and see what they have to offer there as well!  But, pretty sure the promo price is only good on the MP!  

Wanted to send everyone to mainstores today, as I think we have all gotten a tad bit distracted by all of the events that have inundated the grid in the past few months, so take a break and just go wander the stores, you may fall in love with a new designer!

Deceitful Innocence

Deceitful Innocence, what a wonderful store name, conjures so many images in the mind.  And then when I unpacked the box the image was complete and I was delighted to get to put together a rather "Lolita-esque" ensemble!  The "Arctic Cutie Coat" is currently an EXCLUSIVE at Arctic Blast, from SL Vogue.  The fit on this dress is absolutely perfect, with no breaking in any of my posing, which of course is always a plus in my book!  The 1950'sish Powder Blue Coat with Lace and Frills is expertly detailed with an attention to great detail in the textures.  But, the name of the store inspired the rest of the ensemble.

I just HAD to pull out these FANTASTIC boots I picked up at Frozzen, from Shey.  The fit is amazing on these boots for Slink High feet, and the HUD is just INSANE!  I am pretty sure I counted at least 30 different color combinations and I haven't been this happy with a personal purchase in a very long time!  So hurry on over and grab your own!    Did you SEE those adorable butterflies?!  Alchemist has a Gacha at Arctic Blast so make sure to drop by, because these butterflies are truly a gorgeous creation.  They come in 2 varieties, Fractal and non, with the Fractal pictured here.  Arctic Blast runs from TODAY until the first week in January, so don't wait too long or you will miss out!  And to top the whole thing off the delicately detailed, but stunning "Angelica" skin, from Glam Affair and one of my all time favorite hairs from Truth from the September round of The Arcade!  This is the Rare Sushi version, obviously MINUS the Sushi and Sakura flowers.  If you happen upon this hair at a yardsale, grab one!

The Wild One

 

I am feeling a bit fierce tonight in this fantastic new release from Lush by CoCo currently at The Designer Showcase.  The Furry Vest comes in 4 different textures and is ONLY 150L right now!  The fit on the vest is perfect, and runs a little big which it is always nice to wiggle into a smaller size, now isn't it ladies?!  I paired it up with the Silk Leggings from LRD's "Gossip" release currently at Sneak Peek because I just loved the look!  And who wouldn't feel a bit fierce in Belleza's newest release, "Eva" at Uber.  The selection of makeups to choose from almost made me go for the Fatpack for this skin, but unfortunately my Linden amount would not.  So I picked up my favorite and I am a very happy girl!

Dark Coquet

Ever have one of those shopping days where you were just overwhelmed with the amount of things you wanted or *cringes* went ahead and bought?  *coughs*  This post is a showcase of a few of my favorite finds at the most recent of round of events on the grid.  First and foremost, to Coquet... The Zen Sundress is available at FaMEshed right now, and has a HUD giving you four color choices.  All of them are expertly textured with wonderful detail.  The color choices are perfect for Spring and Summer!  Matched with these AMAZING shoes from Emporium found at the Dark Style Fair, this is a perfect garden party dress.  The Mobscene Heels come with a HUD with an amazing 20 color choices, and 2 different selcetions for the soles to match pretty much anything and everything in your closet.

L'Accessoires has become a place I dread and love going to, mainly because I know I will leave with an empty pocket book!  The Swirl Ring by Eclectica comes in two color combinations, but that is not the only option for this ring....  Touch the ring to pull up a menu for almost all of the stones and diamonds and metals on the ring itself.  I was pleasantly surprised with this feature and have fallen in love with this ring.  The fit is perfect, and the resizer helps as well.  !Lybra! also has this cute Spring/Summer jewelry set in 3 different color options at the event, so do yourself a favor and go check out all the wonderful accessories available!

I am once again blown away by the fact that I haven't found anything made by Coquet that I didn't love, and that was not wonderfully crafted.  I am very critical, and often times, will buy many more pieces than I showcase, due in part to their being some sort of issue with the outfit.  I wish the top of this dress was built for a larger chest, but compared to others, it was quite easy to fit.  If you have a love for flirty, soft, romantic fashions with great textures and color combinations, then go visit Coquet, you will not be disappointed!

Gone Fishin'

 The weather has infected me, to say the least!  Nothing sounds better right now than a long, lazy day out at the river, pond, lake or ocean.  Lazing in the sun with my feet up on the cooler, a book in my hands and my big floppy hat keeping the sun out of my eyes is my recipe for perfection today.  Lucky for all of us.... Fameshed, Coquet, Lode and Reign provided me with the PERFECT outfit!

Yes, I know my posts seem to have a lot of things from Fameshed, but it has literally become my go-to place for new, cute outfits and accessories.  Coquet is one of my favorite shops for my everyday looks, and these cute tops and peddle pushers are now a core staple in my summer wardrobe.  The "Cross My Heart" top comes in several patterns and colors, and comes with two alphas; one covers more, and the other less.  The "less" alpha worked perfectly for me without any shape adjustments!  The peddle pushers come in complimentary colors to the shirts and can be mixed and matched.  Zenith is putting out amazing pieces at the current events, including the Butterfly set at Fameshed.  Wander into the main store and take a look around.  They have very stylish, well made clothes and accessories and I have made a point to put them on my weekly rounds.

In case you missed it, Chapter Four is having their one year birthday celebration, which means, the creators spotlighted this month have put out little presents along the way.  Lode, does not disappoint with this adorable floppy hat!  It has a whimsical little ladybug on the brim and the sticks are a great added detail.  So make sure to run by and at least grab the gifties, even if you don't have the money to spend on all the other adorable things available this month.  Oneword, is an event I am not sure many people have heard of at this point, but I have made sure to join their group and to stay on top of the upcoming rounds.  The idea is that the creators are given one word for their theme.  This months theme is Vintage.  Pure Poison made a gorgeous vintage looking necklace with a stunning antique rose cameo and whimsical key.  One of the things that stood out the most at this round were the poses!  Rack Poses and //elephante poses// have great couples and singles poses available at reasonable prices.  Needless to say, lots of places to visit and lots of pretties to go gaze at this month!

Dreaming of the Boondocks

I believe, everyone, at times, needs to go get lost.  Now let me explain that a bit....   Life is stressful, with work, job, kids, family etc etc etc. the list never ends.  We fall into a rut that we often cannot find our way out of...when this happens.... Go get lost!  Take a walk on a trail you know by heart but wander off of it; drive where you never have before, just disappear for a few where the rest of the world cannot find you.  Getting lost, can sometimes be the best thing you could do for yourself, because usually the journey to just get lost, helps you find what you were missing.

I needed to get lost the other night, and an old "home" was haunting my dreams.  In my wanderings I stumbled upon Belle Bayou. This is one of the most beautiful swamp sims I have seen so far on SL, and it has kept my longing for home at bay, at least for now.

As you enter the sim, make sure to adjust your lighting to sunset, or night, as they suggest on their destination information.  The transformation between the settings is quite remarkable.  Fireflies, waves lapping at the shore, sparkling trees and the overall ambiance made this the perfect getting lost adventure!

Any adventure requires the perfect attire, and Coquet provided mine on this wonderful night.  The jacket comes in three colors, and the dress in 5 and they are available until Fameshed ends.  The jackets cuffs match each of the dress colors, which I find to be a wonderful detail.  Comfort and style are key when wandering into the wild blue yonder, make sure to go grab yours!
